Queen Anne Mail and Dispatch

You have to love this place!! I disagree that there clothes are overpriced-- some are expensive, but they hit all price-points and some of the even less expensive clothing I have bought there have become the favorite pieces in my closet. They always have sales and not 10-20% off -- there is always a 50% off rack. I love to run in there when one of my kids just broke my sunglasses and can get a stylish pair for 14 dollars! I always get comliments on the items that come from Queen Anne Dispatch! Also, their shoe selection is wonderful -- I am a huge Merrell fan as I have feet problems and yet am always walking the kids with the dog and need comfortable shoes (and they come in such cute styles that they always update! Much better selection than Nordstrom or Sole Feet in Merrells). As far as their staff, people who have critized them really need to get over themselves. The hardworking Mother is a hoot, whether she is moody or not, and her daughter's are delightful!! They have worked very hard in this shop and I admire them. They have truly taken the Mom-and-Pop Shop to the next level. Go in and give it a try!! You can even mail something out while you are at it which is wonderful to be able to get that done as well!! I have been going to QAD for years. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great selection of higher-fashion boutique clothing as well as full service shipping and mail boxes. The women that own QAD are heavily involved in our hilltop community and help make it the friendly, accessible place it is. more

It's tough to find a place to mail a package on Queen Anne Hill, and this store fills that need. Its convenient location and long hours make it easy to pop in before or after work. The store also offers women's shoes, clothing and gift items, which I find confusing, but is probably a big draw for many shoppers. Buyer beware: the service here is chilly and tolerant at best. Great customer service is definitely not the strong suit of this store. Also, several times I've tried to buy books of stamps and they were out of stock. more

let's start with the good - this place is way more than a mail dispatch, it's also a boutique with a ton of cute and eclectic items. from shoes to clothing to jewelry, cards, soaps, purses, etc. this store seems to have it all. the staff is nice and very helpful, and they are located in a convenient area (on queen anne ave). BUT almost everything in the store is overpriced, and every time i am in there and have to deal with one of the owners (mother/daughter team), they are rude, moody, snobby, distant...take your pick. they act like it's my priviledge to be allowed to enter into their store. zero customer service on their part. more

I first encountered this store at a Crave event. They had such cute and affordable things at that event, that I decided to check out the store. I could browse for hours here. They have so many fun things to look at. Everything is beautiful and the layout of the store is very inviting. And the mail dispatch behind the counter is absolutely charming. more

Queen Anne Mail and Dispatch, located at 2212 Queen Anne Avenue North, was originally located onthe other end of Queen Anne Avenue, closer to the counter balance. It was a much smaller store front, but was pretty much the same idea, a gift shop and postal service in one location. Now located in a much larger store front at the northern end of Queen Anne Avenue, the gift section of the Mail and Dispatch has grown to include designer clothes and shoes in addition to gift and jewerly selections. The idea is great. You need to mail a gift. Voila, you pick it out and mail it all in one stop. Then of course if you see some shoes or a nice skirt for yourself, well..... all the better! more

There is an honest-to-goodness shipping point here, but the bulk of QAMD's business comes from their clever retail presence at the top of QA hill. Cards, clothes, and shoes are all fairly unique, and the addition of lingerie makes for pretty much the only place where you can get a panty and a parcel in the same spot. Items at this boutique don't come without a surprising price tag, but if you've got a special someone to buy for, why not get it here and have it overnighted? more

You can tell that the items for sale in the store have been carefully selected and it's a great place to browse and buy. more
