We love Primrose! Our daughter has been there since she was 9 months old and we've been very happy. When it came time for me to enroll her somewhere I literally looked at every place in Friendswood. What stood out to me was their strong curriculum, structured schedule and overall educational experience. Our daughter has learned so much and I can honestly say the staff is wonderful. more

We love Primrose, my daughter has been attending since she was 14 months old and now she is almost 3. She continues to learn and grow everyday. She enjoys going to school and loves all her teachers, I know she feels loved by them as well. The curriculum is wonderful and all the fun events, projects, and activities surpass any other preschools I have ever been to or heard of! more

We have been Primrose parents for nearly 4 years and have seen a downward spiral in quality over the past several months. Classrooms are constantly understaffed and over the primrose student teacher ratio. New hires are inexperienced and not much more than babysitters rather then teacher. Most afternoons it looks like a circus in most rooms. Teachers are disinterested with the children on the playground. Children rarely have the same teacher for more than 2 months. These issues came about when new management took over last fall. more

My name is Linda Arthur and my husband Gene and I are the proud owners of the Primrose School of Friendswood. We built the school in 2005 to bring a high quality early childhood program to the Friendswood community where I have lived since I was 2 years old. As my children were growing up, there were 2 options available to parents..Day care or part time Preschool. Working parents didn't have many options. After learning about the Primrose program and how it combines accredited, high quality educational programs with exceptional childcare, we decided that this would be perfect for Friendswood.\r \r We have been open for 7 1/2 years now and we could not be more proud of our school and the impact that it has had on so many young lives. We are highly respected by the Friendswood school district and by the many parents that have chosen to entrust their children's safety and education to us. We take this responsibility very seriously.\r \r We have an outstanding teaching and management staff. We provide jobs for between 38 and 40 staff members. We are very appreciative to all of them for their dedication to and love for the children. They have a very hard job! Not only do we expect them to provide excellent care to our students, we also expect them to fully implement our curriculum daily. This is not an easy task and they do an awesome job of it! \r \r Our management team works very hard to uphold our high standards and meet children, parents and staff needs. They routinely work 10 to 12 hour days. They put the children first in everything that they do. We could not be more thankful to them for what they do!\r \r Many thanks to all of our past and present parents for entrusting us with their precious children. We are very proud of what we have done in our community...changing lives one child at a time!\r more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS FACILITY!! I took my 2 1/2 year old to this facility based on a recommendation. It worked out great in the early toddler class but then he was moved to an older toddler class. The teachers in the class have a terrible attitude, do not work with the parent, and dictate to you how to raise your child, and on top of all of that they are lazy. They turn over so many employees, and some rules apply in one class but not in another...it was so frustrating. It looks very impressive but the bottom line they are a childcare facility. They hide behind the ""school"" in the title but they are there to take care of children, not run a dictatorship! more

I would not bring your child here. I am a teacher at this location and I would not bring my child here. The teachers get way underpaid here. There are teachers in high school getting paid more than teachers with more experience and that have been there longer. I love working with my other staff member and i love the children and parents, its managment that is the problem. They always wait till the last minuete to figure things out. The ratio in classrooms are never correct some class rooms are suppose to have 24 kids but end up have 27 enrolled which is not primrose policy and if caught by the state could be in a large amount of trouble this school has a very high turnover because of managment. They also have someone in management that left a two year old outside in the summer and she didn't get fired but she got promoted. So keep this in mind when your looking at this school for your child. more

Great School! 9/30/2009

My 2 children have attended Primrose School of Friendswood for over 2 years now. We are extremely pleased with the school. Our children are learning so much. They love going to school because they have so much fun! Everyone there has been so friendly and helpful and when we have any problems, they are always so willing to listen and do what it takes to fix any problems. I would highly recommend this school to anyone! Pros: Outstanding Staff Cons: Parking more

Dont send your children here 7/20/2009

This is the worst preschool I have ever encountered. The teachers scream at the children, they destroy their self confidence, they force the children to run laps in the hot houston sun when they misbehave. The teaching is poor. They cant keep teachers. It was the biggest mistake we ever made, please choose a better school for your children. Galloway is an amazing school, go there. Stay far, far away from primrose. Pros: Nice building Cons: unfirendly, large class size, poor learning, abusive more

There is a big turnover at the school. It isnt very nurturing. The class sizes are very big. I have had much better experiences elsewhere. Cons: huge class size more

A very nurturing environment for infants and toddlers 10/9/2008

As a working mom, I knew that I needed to find a good daycare for my son - who would be only 2 1/2 months old when I needed to return to work. I started my search at 6 months pregnant. I had a list of 2 or 3 daycares to visit, and Primrose at Friendswood was the first one my husband and I visited. We were both immediately comfortable there - it smelled clean, looked clean and organized, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even though we were only interested in the infant room at the time, they took the time to tour us around the whole school. We visited the other 2 places on our list after that, and even though they had lower tuition rates, they just didn't give us the good feeling that we had at Primrose at Friendswood. Pros: Extracurricular events, Parents Night Out, Awesome teachers Cons: Parking more

Great School 3/20/2008

We have lived in Friendswood for many years and prior to Primrose, there was only day care available for my child. When Primrose was built, we researched them and found out that they were a school, not just a day care. My child is now 4 years old and has been enrolled with them since they opened. I am amazed at how much my child has learned! She is way ahead of some of her friends that have not gone to Primrose. We are so excited about her progress and we feel that Primrose was a big reason, not to mention that we think she is a genius! Pros: Education, Education, Education! Caring teachers, Very Nice People! Cons: Costs a little more than day care but VERY worth it! more

Initial Impression: Horrible! 1/29/2008

I had gone online to find a list of daycare centers in the area and was calling around to get pricing. I called this location and the woman who answered REFUSED to tell me how much enrollment is! She said they prefer us to go in and tour the facilities before they tell us. I told her I'd just like to know if its within my price range before I take off work to go tour, and she told me they're open 6:30-6:30 and said I can go in either before work or after work, and still wouldn't tell me. II couldn't believe she would just throw away business like that. more
