This restaurant was great 2 years ago. I went there last night with my family not knowing about the changes in quality of food and apparent ownership. The rice was cheap rice, the appetizer was bad and that was the good part. The entrees of mossaman curry and pad siew were worse than horrible. The fried rice, which any Thai restaurant can get right, was horrible. These 4 awful items cost of over $50. We ate and ran as fast we could. Do not go to this restaurant unless you want to burn $50 and get nothing for it. more

I've eaten here 10 times. I try something new each time I go and I have been unable to find anything on the menu that I like. The Pad Thai is ok. But, everything else is mediocre to terrible. I live very close to Pawit's so I kept going back hoping to find some meals I would enjoy. After 10 times, I am finally giving up. Too bad Bangkok Thai closed down, it was the best Thai Food in Salt Lake. more

I usually eat at Thai Siam but one night we were in the neighborhood and stopped by. What a nice surprise. The food was great. Reasonably priced. The service was slow and you had to keep asking to have your water filled. But the food is worth it. Romantic atmosphere. Will keep going back. more

I am a former restaurant owner, now retired, who enjoys Asian cuisine. My wife and I visited Pawit's for lunch the other day. The restaurant was a little off the beaten path, as I am not familiar with the Cottonwood area. After a wrong turn or 2, we arrived. Good parking and the interior ambiance was very good. Before ordering lunch, my wife has to use the restroom, and upon returnng commented that it was the nicest and cleanest she had seen. We were also very impressed with the service, very professional. When our meal came, we continued to be impressed. The presentation was excellent, and the taste of the dishes was even better! My wife does not like spicy dishes, so she was advised by the server that the 2 items that she wanted could be made with no chiles. However, I enjoy the heat. I ordered some ""hot"" on the side. Expecting ground dried chiles, I was pleasently surprised to see fresh, finely chopped chiles!! All in all, a fine lunch, no better Thai in Utah..in my opinion. Once the chef of a well known Thai restaurant in Salt Lake City, Pawit left to start his own venture, and it has become absolutely the best Thai restaurant in Salt Lake City. Each dish is exquisite and made to order, with Pawit happily adjusting the recipes to fit the tastes and spice-threshholds of each customer. He prepares every dish himself and always makes time to come ask every table how they enjoyed their meal. He is the epitome of customer service and delicious food and every small effort he makes reflects his love of the business and of his customers.
