Best price in town 2/17/2012

I tried eyemasters or vision works what ever there name is now and they wanted to charge me over 419 for 1 pair of glasses. This is my first pair of glasses and I did not even know what i was buying. I did not purchase them cause they were a little pushy. One of my employees in the IT department got new glasses and they looked really cool and he said he purchased them at Dr Barnes Eyemart, the one by Airport. I am glad I got my glasses at Eyemart, they were very friendly but more importantly they explained what I was purchasing and went over how to use my new no line glasses. And not to mention I got 2 pair of glasses. You can save money in todays economy, thank you Eyemart.. more

One price over the phone, higher price when you get there!! 1/9/2010

I called both the Highland and the Stassney/I35 locations for pricing on having new lenses fitted to my own frames. I was told there was a $10 fee for customer supplied frames. Fair enough! When I got to the Highland Mall store they told me the price was $20 because I had ""designer frames."" When I objected to the bait-and-switch and informed them that nobody had asked me if I had ""designer"" frames their method of dealing with it was to evict me from the premises. At age 63 this was a new experience for me. I went to the Round Rock location and explained the entire situation and they were courteous, professional and agreed to make the lenses no problem. When I called the Stassney/I35 store they also said they would only charge $10. I did not go there because they had suffered equipment breakdown and were way behind. For the record I had raised my voice ( but not yelling). I used no off-color language and made no threats either verbal or by gesture. There was never any apology offered for the two different prices. Pros: Quoted reasonable price to fit lens to my own frames Cons: Price went up at the store. more

BEST PRICE IN TOWN AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE 3/12/2009

I was at the mall when my glasses broke. Good for me, Eyemart was right around the corner. We called my dr. obtained a copy of my prescription and I had new glasses in an hour. Not only were they fast accurate and friendly I got two pair for what I had paid for one in the past. Really great customer service, the manager herself actually helped adjust my frames and I can't even tell I'm wearing glasses. They don't pinch my nose or dig into the side of my head. Not sure why others would rate them so poorly. I received fantastic service, fantastic price, and great quality Name Brand ""Guess"" frames that are warrantied for a year. Pros: FAST AND FRIENDLY Cons: NONE NOTED more

THE WORST SERVICE 2/12/2009

Not only is the most amature and incompetent of people working at EyeMart on Airport Blvd., but the quality of the products they sell (rip you off for) are cheap and incredibly flimsy. Very poor quality in eyewear. And forget professionalism, not even the manager knows what that is. Go to LensCrafters, at Highland Mall. You will not only get excellent eyewear, for much less $$, you will be greeted with highly professional and experienced staff. Cons: Everything more

Bad company policy 4/14/2008

This company sure has changed. I have been using this company for over ten years, bought glasses, regular and shades , bought new lenses when they got scratched, bought new frames and lenses. So I go in today to get new lenses for my regular glasses and I am told "" Oh, we don't do that anymore, you have to buy new frames also, orders from the home office."" OK I said and picked out some new frames. The salesperson then asked me for my prescription and I said it's in your file and she said I needed a new one as mine was over a year old. I said I see perfectly well with this prescription and she said sorry we just can't do it. At that point I got disgusted, muttered something about how they had found a new way to rob the visualy challenged and walked out. So much for loyalty. Cons: No customer loyalty more

Rude and Unprofessional! 10/15/2007

I just wanted to share my experience from today with any others considering a purchase from this store, for I feel they are unworthy. I went in today to Eyemart with a plan. Upon entering, there were two employees assisting the only other two customers in the store. So I quietly picked out the frames I wished to purchase and waited patiently for the next available employee to assist with my order. One of the workers finishes with his customer and immediately retreats to the backroom without offering any help. Keep in mind I had been waiting approximately 20 minutes by this time. I let it slide and decide to wait for the only remaining salesman on the floor to finish with his customers. A few minutes later, another couple enters the store and the salesman immediately offers his help (still not acknowledging my presence). That's where the line was drawn. I refuse to pay people who are overtly rude and ignore my presence, while immediately acknowledging the presence of others. Overall, the worst customer service I've ever encountered! Cons: Horrible customer service more
