Ny Moving Company

We have used pods in the past and this time shopped around for price. NY Moving Company was priced lower and they could deliver the next day - others couldn't. I was so surprised when the unit arrived. It was so clean inside and more like a moving truck inside than a box like we had with pods. With the racking system they have, we were able to secure an odd shaped antique spinning wheel perfectly. Also, they didn't leave it sitting in the parking lot, it went to their warehouse the day after we finished loading. Customer service was great and everything was in perfect condition when we had it re-delivered to our condo. So much easier to load than a Uhaul. We'll definitely useNY Moving Company again. more

NY Moving Company is a good Moving Company . Before this move, my girlfriend and I had moved twice before, and both of those moves were disasters, with broken things (our TV the first time, and a dresser the second) and high rates and just...ugh. This time, we went on the recommendation of a friend, and the reviews, and we seriously couldn't have been happier. The move from New York City - New York. Nothing got broken. Every piece of furniture was wrapped well. The price was nice and low. NY Moving Company is Professional that's all I can say. I think they made our move into far less of a hassle than it could have been. more

This was a corporate paid move from New York , NY to Baltimore , MD on April 30th of this year. We set everything up through Jennifer on April 15th and went over an inventory list and compared our in home estimates to that list and tweaked it over the next few days. Their quote was a little higher than one of the estimates and considerably lower than the other. We did not compile quotes from any other companies just the 3 mentioned and were pleased with all 3 companies more

We had a great experience with this New York Movers. I used their online form to submit a quote request and they responded almost immediately and were very friendly. We spent about a week deciding before we confirmed the quote and scheduled the date. They delivered plastic bins a week prior to our move as well as additional boxes & tape because they happened to be low on bins. \r \r We moved from two separate apartments into one. We re-confirmed the quote before starting (I had about 4-5 additional boxes, but the overall move was not a huge one despite the two apartments). They arrived slightly past the scheduled time but were so quick that I didn't mind. They took great care with my furniture (especially since I lived in a 4th-floor walk-up). When they later went to my boyfriend's apartment to load his things, let's just say that my BF had been out too late the night before and wasn't quite ready. The movers quickly and without complaint scooped things into boxes & trash bags and were out the door.\r \r At the new location, they set boxes and furniture where we wanted them and put back together whatever had been broken down for the move (e.g. the bed).\r \r All told, they finished in about 3.5 hours, went with the originally quoted price despite a higher-than-expected box count (I should add, we paid for their lunch & tipped well and we conveyed that we would tip well before it was all said & done), damaged nothing, and were lenient on our timing for unpacking the crates (which took us about 10 days). \r \r They were highly recommended to us and I highly recommend this New York Movers to others for a stress-free move. We had a terrific move with Remarkable from Manhattan to Brooklyn. It's always nerve-wracking putting all of your possessions into the care of strangers, but the team of movers was friendly, efficient, and careful with all of our stuff. ..\r \r Remarkable wasn't the lowest cost of everyone we called, but they sent someone over to our house to give an official estimate and made me feel comfortable that we wouldn't end up being charged extra after all of our stuff was on the truck (that's happened to people I know before). Plus they were willing to come down a bit in price to make the deal. I felt like I got a reasonable price for moving a lot of stuff...\r \r Our four movers--David, Danny Silver., Robert Dino, and Jerome Robinson--did a terrific job. Plus they were a great group of guys! They took great care with all of our furniture and wrapped everything very well, plus brought their own wardrobe boxes and packed up our hanging clothes and bedding for us. \r \r We really weren't fully prepared or packed for this move, but the Remarkable team made it easy. I had expected them to tell me they couldn't move some things because they weren't included in the original estimate, but they did it all...\r \r I'd definitely recommend Remarkable for a NYC move. more

The Best Movers is Remarkable Movers \r First started looking for a moving company on mover reviews since I felt we had a difficult move ahead. We have many antiques that, if damaged, cannot be replaced. We also had 3,000 sq.ft of home that we had lived in for 15 years to move. To make everything more difficult, we were not taking everything. We were moving what we wanted to keep and leaving the rest until we vacated the house in a few months. When the estimator from Remarkable Movers called to give us a quote, he had to really look beyond what was in each room since some of it was going and some not. And, to make everything better, he told me my 14"" long long-arm quilting table could be moved intact instead of breaking it down into parts. This has saved me many, many hours. The other moving companies I contacted told me that they would have to charge me the same amount it would cost to ship a boat to have it moved in one piece because of it's size. The estimate came in as the highest of the three I called for. The companies were Allied, United, and Wheaton. However, the final cost was the lowest of any of the estimates once \r they had weighed the truck. The part of this move I most appreciate was that even though I had said I would do part of the packing, I realized I was not going to be able to do it all. I called the company. They sent out people a day ahead of schedule who immediately went into each room with me and started organizing what I had already done, and continuing on. Since the main problem was that I was running out of space in the house, they brought the moving van out a day early also so we could put the packed things into it creating more space in the house just to see where we were at!!! They went through each room several times to determine what we were taking and what was to be left. They were cordial, polite, and had a sense of humor. Remarkable Movers was great. When they arrived at our new house, they unpacked, stacked, and did everything they said they would do. I do not own stock in this company and I have to thank epinions for making me aware they exist. I would definitely recommend Remarkable Movers using them especially if you are in the Brooklyn or New York Area. Our Driver was Mike and the Estimator was Frank Lenore. Great company, I used them twice\r Our family moved twice in two years using Remarkable Movers both times. The first time we were covered under a corporate move and the second we paid for personally. Therefore, I think we have an excellent perspective of this vendor under two common scenarios.\r To aid in the assessment of Remarkable Movers, I have evaluated the company on several key criteria: ESTIMATION PROCESS- In our most recent move, which we paid for ourselves, we had several professional national vendors come out to give us estimates. After hearing horror stories on the news, we felt more comfortable going with a larger company. But which one? Remarkable Movers had moved us once before and their estimate was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. (In fact, Mayflower was most expensive, coming in approximately 15% higher than Remarkable Movers) The individual that provided the estimate was very professional, efficient and more than willing to bind the quote +/- 10%. This appears to be an industry standard among the nationwide vendors. PROFESSIONALISM OF MOVERS- The first time we moved, the corporate vendor of choice was Remarkable Movers. Their crew packed us and loaded our belongings in their trucks. The crew was fast but less professional than we would have hoped. Specifically, they rode some of our biking equipment though our hallways but most importantly they did not provide us with the high-value inventory sheet. Fortunately, there was no damage by the moving company to our home during the move-out process. In contrast, however, we found Remarkable Movers to be very professional, efficient and courteous. Though they did not pack us, they did an excellent job of loading our belongings. I had a wonderful experience with New York Movers this past week. I was very impressed with my moving coordinator, MIKE and the New York Movers crew: James & Ron. They arrived EARLY, were very professional, and efficient. I believe they deserve a raise or some type of recognition by New York Movers. The crew reduced my stress level of moving my furniture and belongings into storage. I even requested the same crew to move my stuff out of storage into my new apartment next month. Great Job! I discovered NY Moving Company in 2008 through recommendation from a manager at a storage facility. Based on that and good online reputation, I had them move items from my apartment and storage units in New York to storage facility in Bayonne, NJ. They were prompt, fast and attentive. I found them to be very knowledgeable, professional and at pretty reasonable price. I called them to again move more things for me this month, with the same positive results. They gave me a fixed price and took great care of my value belongings. more

I used NY Moving Company to move both my home and office and found them to be super. Scheduling service through their website was very simple. We received wonderful service from the first phone call to the quote to the final unloading! Wendy was a delight to work with and was friendly and patient. She assured us that everything was covered, that there would be no surprises, etc. and it was all true! We had 4 stops total and the two guys that were sent were careful, but hustled at the same time. We were impressed...the two movers obviously knew what they were doing, had been with the company a long time, had all the tools they needed and wanted to do a great job...which they did at each of the 4 stops. We would definitely use NY Moving Company again!!! more

My girlfriends and I had our guy friends help us for our last move and we decided never again. Yeah it was free ( other than beer and pizza) but we paid for it with complaints and broken items. This time we knew we were going to have to pay, but we didn't know we were going to have it so easy. Anl really took care of business for us. Everything that we owned was in one piece and not only did they not complain, they seemed happy to help us...and yes I know that we were paying them, but its hard to find good customer service anywhere in this city. I have decided for all of my girls that we will use anl from now on. more
