Great Pizza and Freindly service 11/4/2009

I've been going to Nick's in Cystal Lake for about 8-9 years now off and on. Never once have I ever had bad service. Not alway great, but always good. The pizza is the best around. From Crystal Lake, Marenog and Woodstock! Pros: Great piazza Cons: I don''t get there enough more

It's a fun place for the family 11/9/2008

This is a great family restaurant. The pizza is very good, and the service is better. Good value. Bring the whole family, or just stop in by yourself. You will enjoy this place. Pros: Great food, and great service. more

Best pizza I've ever had, hands down!! its not too greasy and whether you want a crispy thin crust or a thick double-decker, its all delicious, but my personal fave is the calzones!!! Service is unbelievable, its a great place to go if youre in a bad mood because everyone is so nice and happy you cant help but cheer up! they have plenty of room for big parties, a carry-out if youre short on time, and its perfect for kids, just stick them in the game room and theyre distracted for hours! the Perfect family night out, you cant miss it!!! Best Pizza I've Ever Had, Service Exceptional, & Fast Seating 4/4/2008

I've had Pizza on the West Coast, East Coast & Chicago style pizza and nothing compares. What's even better is the service & atmosphere.....it is a place where everyone will enjoy whether you are a family, a couple(easy-going & fun), or elderly. I have yet to come across a restaurant(fine dining included) with such exceptional service. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE CHICAGO LOCATION TO OPEN!!! We just love going to Nick's for our favorite double decker pizza. Our kids love your thin crust, but my husband and I like the double deckers! Our server, Tessa, knew exactly what we needed before we ever asked for it. We love your peanuts too!!!! Our troubles of the day always seem to disappear when we enter Nick's fabulous restaurant! Best Pizza and Place for families! 1/15/2008

I still believe NIck's is the best pizza in Crystal Lake and they offer half baked pizzas. I take home, place in the freezer for a later date! YUMM!\r \r WOW! I must say that Nick's Pizza & Pub is the best pizza in town or even the world. I love the double decker pizza and my husband loves their thin, thin crust. PERFECTION! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we felt warmth from each of its employees and the atmosphere was cozy. We sat by the huge stone fireplace surrounded by lots of kids laughter and people talking. Loved our experience and we now go once a week! Pros: SERVICE and FUN Cons: Not a romantic atmosphere - but fun for the whole family more

Large pizza MAY feed 2. Soggy and way overpriced. If you like indifferent service surrounded by dead stuffed animals and a thousand screaming kids this is your place. Sandwiches are good but be prepared to wait an hour and don't expect hot fries. Disposable styrophome plateware is an environmental crime. more

Best Pizza on Earth! 4/27/2005

The pizza is all that they say it is and the decor is fun for kids and adults. When we were there they wer hosting a fundraiser for a local children's charity - can't help feeling good about helping out while helping myself to more great pizza! Pros: Price, Food, Service Cons: No Coffee more

I like it crispy! 12/5/2004

To steal a phrase, ""2 very big thumbs up"" to Nick's Pizza. It is everything a pizza joint should be, from the enormous entrance doors, to the spotless and efficient bathrooms, and everything in between. We had the tortilla soup, very good, spicy, sort of a beany Max & Erma's tortilla with less cheese. And the pizza was all it was shouted to be. Very crispy crust, very tasty and ample topping. What more could you ask? A warm and comfortable place for pizza. I only wish I had room for the peanuts on the tables, which, as my son pointed out, places Nick's off limits for anyone with peanut allergies. Pros: food, service, ambiance more
