I had sch'd a tune up, and had dropped off my boat @ Monarch. My trailer didn't have a jack on it when I dropped it off, it didn't seem to be a problem, they used a cinder block to prop it up as I do. Joe from Monarch called shortly after I left stating that they couldn't work on my boat unless it had a jack on the trailer due to ""insurance regulations"" and they would be glad to install one for $$$$$. If I didn't agree, they needed the boat to be removed from their yard that afternoon, since I didn't want to wait a few more weeks to sch'd a tuneup with another marina, I agreed they could install the jack. They did the tuneup, I picked it up the following week, they charged me the price for a 6 cylinder o/b, not a 4, when I questioned that, Joe becanes an indignant butthead, and apoligized for the apparent oversight. He adjusted the bill, plus the (correct) cost of the tune up for my motor, and then asked if I needed any Yamalube for the season. (It's more expensive @ Monarch then other marina's in the area, I buy Yamalube I know what it cost's) I said no thank you. I paid the bill and went on my way. I dropped the boat in the following week, it ran very poorly and it seemed obvious to me the carbs needed to be adjusted (common in this motor) and or rebuilt. I called Monarch when I got home that afternoon, and told them what I thought was wrong, I was told to bring it in, they would try to squeeze me in, they we're very busy. (yo sherlock it's mid May all Marina's are very busy). Needless to say I never took it back, consider it a leason learned, just need to make sure other consumers\r
don't get taken by this devoius business on River Rd in Delran NJ. Also, there not a certified Yamaha dealer, they just want you to think they are.
Cons: they find something wrong with whatever you drop off to take more $$$ from you
