Mina's Tailor Studio

I am not a regular tailor type of person, but my wedding is in 2 weeks and I have a suit that needed to be altered again because I lost a little bit more weight than I had anticipated. When my fiance found out that I still needed to get the suit altered again, she freaked out. Thank god for these reviews. Merry definitely is reliable and fast. She did an excellent job with the suit and the price was very good...much less than the first place that I took the suit to downtown SF. Thanks Merry for saving the most important day of my life! I was a little intimidated when the boutique that I frequent recommended Mina's Tailor studio because it was tucked above a restaurant and it was the only store there, however to my surprise the work was beautifully done. Merry the owner of Mina's Tailor Studio is the sweetest woman. She does exceptional work and has been doing tailoring for over 25 years. My clothes have always been on time and she will take clothes that need to done in a hurry. The rates are great and I highly recommend that you take your clothes there if you want great work for an affordable price. Plus she recently told me that she also tailors wedding dresses. I have done about six pieces here, mostly hemming, since moving to the area. I'm very picky about the fit and design of a thing I wear. Mina has an artistic eye and is clearly high-skilled, with a great personality as well. more

I had two suits taken in and she did a nice job on both. She made solid recommendations and her work was very good. When I tried on one of the jackets, the button was slightly off, but she immediately fixed it. Taking in the shoulders of a jacket cost $45. Taking in the sides of a jacket cost $25. Taking in the waist and seams of a pair of pants cost $25. It seemed a bit pricey to me, but maybe that's just San Francisco prices...or Marina prices.
