Larry arrived on time. He explained everything he was doing and accomplished it efficiently. He cleaned everything up when he was finished. It was a pleasure to have him work in my home. more

Jesse, Walter, Chad, and a few of their coworkers replaced my A/C and furnace on 04/02/2013. They showed up on time, in force (like 5 or 6 trucks), and rocked out the work like true professionals. I would highly recommend them and McCarthy as a result of my experience. more

Randall replaced the faucet in our basement utility tub. To do so, he had to remove part of the wall. This was all done in a professional, couteous manner, and he was quick. more

I woke up saturday morning and went into the basement to find myself squishing through my den area....all the carpet was soaking wet. I first thought it was a burst pipe but opened the door to the water heater and HVAC and realized it was the water heater. I called 3 plumbers that were referred to me and they either didnt call back or couldnt come out. I remembered a neighbor had mentioned McCarthy's as reliable and honest so I called them. A young lady took my info and then I receive a call from Bryon. He was very nice and told me when he thought he could come by in a couple of hours as he was at a call in Silver Spring. He got to my house and was so nice and so helpful. Explaining so much about how hot water heaters work, how long they last and determined the age as we could not find the date on it. He was very thorough and was also so nice to my sweet but very energetic Lab. He set up a time to come back on Sunday to actually replace the water heater which was great!! He explained all the charges so if I wanted to wait til the weekday I could but I decided to have it put in asap. I can honestly say Bryon reminded me of the kind of service I always got in Austin Texas...where I moved from. I cant say my experience with alot of other vendors in the DC metro area has been this positive since I moved here in 2009. When he was done installing the water heater he explained all the in's and out's of what I should know. I asked him alot of questions and he never acted annoyed or rushed. I like Bryon so much I went ahead and got an annual service contract with McCarthy's for my HVAC system. I am not sure if all their technicians are this nice and friendly but he certainly was a GREAT first impression and of course I will always request him for work down the road. Oh and let me add he was so neat; cleaned everything up; the den carpet was ruined by the old water heater when it blew, but he still was very respectful of my place. I would give him a 20 out of 10, with 10 being the best. Everyone should have a Bryon!! Thx more

Randall came to my house to complete a plumbing inspection. The service he provided was outstanding. He went above and beyond what was required of a plumbing inspection and cleared up 2 small issues. He explained to me everything he was checking and answered all of my questions. His service was top notch and would definitely call him if I had any additional plumbing work that needed to be completed. McCarthy Services was also very reliable. I set up an appointment they called before they came and were on time. more

Ed and Randy came out from McCarthy Services to clean the duct and dryer vents. They did a great job and were very personable and professional. The dryer vent was almost completely blocked partly because of a faulty original builder install. They fixed the vent on site and installed a new hose so it would not clog so easily; which to me was above and beyond. Would gladly recommend! more

Couldn't have been happier with McCarthy Services or Randy L. the plumber who came to our home. I had a leaking pressure reducer and a broken hose bib shut off. Randy also recommended and replaced the main water shutoff as it was the same age and type as the one which had failed on the hose bib. I was able to call McCarthy on Thursday and have Randy come to our home the next day. Bonus* On Friday, I even received a call that Randy was done on a nearby job earlier than anticipated and could come to my home earlier than scheduled if that was convenient for me.* It was and I was delighted. Once Randy arrived he was polite, courteous, and clearly knowledgeable. He also was Respectful of our home, making sure to don boot covers as he entered and taking care to close the door and be mindful of our pets. Upon examination, Randy walked me through my plumbing issues and what needed to be done then quoted me what I deemed to be a very fair price. Upon my agreement, Randy quickly got to work. He was pleasant to chat with and didn't seem to mind my occassional inquiries. All in all he wrapped up the job in what seemed like a flash, cleaned the area better than it had been prior to his arrival and was out the door leaving me completely satisfied and with a good portion of my Friday afternoon left. I even had him quote me for another job which I anticipate having Randy and McCarthy do once the holidays are past. Couldn't be happier with this great plumber and company. I highly recommend both. Oh, and I should mention; I called McCarthy for this repair based on a previous experience with them in which they showed their honesty and integrity. About a year ago, I had a different plumber (name unrecalled) from McCarthy come to look at a leak beneath my kitchen sink. He advised me that my problem was actually my faucet assembly and that the manufacturers warranty should cover the replacement. He even apologized for having to charge for the service call. Needless to say it was well worth the price and I saved a good deal of money. more

I recently had a generator installed. The electricians (Andrew and Dave) did an excellent job with the whole process. They knew what they were doing and worked very efficiently. I am so grateful for the expertise and professionalism of the McCarthy Services' staff concerning the recent installation of our new (Siemens) generator. This whole process was seamless starting from getting the quote until the job was completed. The prices were competitive and the service was outstanding. And what made this experience even more pleasurable was that not only were the electricians (Andy and Dave) extremely skilled with the technical knowledge of installing a complicated system, but they also had a high level of work ethics, and the job was done neatly and proficiently. In other words, the work was great, they respected my home, and they didn't leave a mess. The McCarthy workmanship is the best! more

I called McCarthy Services because our Commerical AC Unit stopped working. they came out the same day and gave an estimate. Andy and Chad came the next morning and installed the unit. McCarthy Services were prompt, professional, GREAT customer service and were really resonable. I would strongly reccommend Andy or Chad to do your next service repair!!! more
