Unless you have a dog, there is no valuable reason to live here. It seems everyone who is having difficulty finding a rental home that allows for pets, is relocating here. In addition to the dog noise and smell, there are many children who live here. Most of the time the noise level is crazy. It's as if the parents let the children run wild, without any supervision. Management never steps in to correct things. Any efforts to get management to do their job and enforce the terms of the lease agreement typically falls flat! Management is NOT on the side of those tenants who have legitimate complaints. Keeping the occupancy rate high (and therefore their jobs...) is clearly their only goal. Any conversation with their supervisors is even worse. This is a perfect example of the Irvine Company at it's worse! Most of the maintenance crew do not know how to professionally make necessary repairs. It's obvious that they hire the cheapest labor available and it's evident in the lack of quality in the end product. Additionally, the ""amenities"" are awful. No gym here. No private garages; only carports. There are only a few laundry facilities in individual apartments; most must use the 6 community washers and dryers. Good luck ever actually finding a free machine to use. Forget living here if you are someone who needs some appreciable level of quiet to sleep. The walls are super-thin. I hear everything going on in the surrounding apartments, and I mean everything. And let's not forget to mention the ever-present sound of jets taking off overhead from John Wayne Airport. It's nearly impossible to hear the TV or talk on the telephone when a jet is flying overhead. Yes, the noise starts at 7 AM, when the airport opens. Be kind to yourself: Look elsewhere for a decent place to live.
Pros: location, location, location ...
Cons: Inconsiderate neighbors, lots of dog noise, lousy management
