just plain filthy/dirty stay away. Just awful went there yesterday my sons sandwich something happened and folks well after him were being served. I went back and asked the person cooking, and it was awful, they were literally standing on sandwiches, cooked eggs, and ham all on the floor, and I have pictures...it was a mess I'm not going back and I asked for a refund. Send me an email and I'll send you the pics, just a mess, and no apology or anything, a pork roll sandwich for my son should not take 30 min. more

Bad experience - stay away! 12/26/2011

A bit of background ... we travel a lot, and my wife carries her favorite English tea bags which she mail orders. Restaurants ranging from 5-star to fast food joints never have a problem providing her with some hot water, especially given we're both having a full breakfast. Manhattan Bagel in Red Bank was different, however. The cashier/manager waffled about what to charge, and said we really should pay for the full cup of tea. This, and his attitude sent us elsewhere for breakfast today. We would have been glad to pay 10 or 20 cents for the cup, as other lower-end restaurants sometimes do, but he didn't offer the option. We've eaten at this establishment before, with the tea bags and all, without incident. But if they're going to be skinflints and treat customers poorly, we'll walk past Manhattan Bagel and choose one of the many other breakfast restaurants in Red Bank. more
