A recent lunch at Mamasan's Monroe Ave location did not live up to my expectations. The food was fine, but you can eat just as well (or better) elsewhere in town for a better price. I felt like the decor of the restaurant was trying way too hard to be "edgy" and cool. Twisty metal seems to be their design scheme, and it got on my nerves for some reason. The portions are adequate, and the service was unremarkable. Overall, I wasn't impressed.
