Malt Shoppe

I worked here after graduating highschool. I went back today (16 years later).... everything is the same! I couldn't believe that they'd invested in a new flat screen instead of a new paint job or new carpet (or linoleum because, ew... carpet @ a drippy shake place). the burgers were like jr. cheeseburgers. some of our shakes were ok, but one wasn't mixed well @ all! the fries were good & hot & the english chips were nice & greasy. We used about 100 of their crappy napkins for our drippy shakes. Dear owners of the Malt Shoppe, either invest in it or shut it down. It could be really great. more

we went as a family to this restaurant yesterday because my kids wanted ice cream although we had been before and were not impressed previously. We ordered a hamburger and specified no cheese however the hamburger came with cheese so very calmly I took it back and they proceded to tell me that it has to have cheese on it because it says it comes with cheese (we had said NO CHEESE) so after some arguing they took it and a minute later passed it back.. only to find they had SCRAPED the cheese off most of the way and put the same bun back on top. GROSS! so I requested to speak with a manager who came over and said ""whats up?"" as of we are friends and I asked if there was nothing better they could do that I thought that was entirely unsanitary he just stared at me then gave me what he said was the number for the owner which turned out to be the fax machine over there!! SO RUDE! never never never again. Not to mention the floors were sooooo dirty! Pros: ... cheap? Cons: dirty, poor service, yuck! more

I would not go to this place again. The service was terrible (45 minutes for lunch), The food was bad, burger small, scones burnt. The place was dirty, both tables and bathrooms. The music was so loud you could not even hear your number called. Never again. Pros: Shakes OK Cons: Bad food, bad service, dirty. more
