When I set my appointment I noted my wife was in the hospital and that I needed an appointment time that would get the car back to me in the shortest time. The time was set for 10:00 am, and I was told the servicing would take about 2 hours. By 12:00 I hadn't heard anything, and called to determine progress - the service was just beginning. Fortunately getting the car back later than expected was not a problem, but it could have been.
