LK Auto Repair Experience 6/14/2011

I have been using LK Auto Repair for years and I am still a fan. Had to have a Check Engine light looked into and Keith was on top of it right away. He also found a coolant leak at the manifold that could have left me sitting on the side of the road on my upcoming trip to Oregon. Good Job and thanks for going above and beyond. I appreciate that you look at the cars overall health and not just what it was brought in for. He also pointed out a couple of things that I will need to have corrected worked on in the future when it is more convenient time and financially wise to take care of. This is Total Car Care and I am happy to recommend LK to anyone needing routine maintenance or major repairs done on their vehicle. Thanks Keith and Linda. more

Truck repair 6/7/2011

As always LK Auto has outdone themselves in great service! We took our truck in for an oil change and to do a repair on the steering colum expecting it take at least 2 days, but not so! we got it back the same day, in great working order. Thanks again guys, you're the best! more

1997 Chevrolet Geo Tracker 6/1/2011

I recently had my 1997 Geo Tracker worked on. I took it in for poor performance and excessive gas consumption. ( With the price of gas these days I was desperate.)The poor performance issue was serious and also dangerous. It would sometimes not accelerate from a stop light. What was found was a timing issue related to a gear on the end of the crankshaft and associated key and damaged keyway on the gear. Mike their very knowledgeable mechanic explained everything to me and we jointly made a decision as to the "best" solution. I have to say that the car has never run better. I think this has been a problem since I first purchased it 11 years ago. It steadily got worse to the point where something had to be done. It now has the umph to get me down the road. I have gained two full gears. The gas mileage has gone up considerably; nearly double. 32 miles to the gallon. My very special thanks to everyone at LK's for their fine work. more

Upper Intake Servicing Feedback 5/24/2011

Friday evening, May 20, the SES light came on. I determined that the code PO122, "Pedal Position Input A Circuit Low", if I recall correctly, was the explanation. (I do not have my notes with me as I write this.) Opening the hood, I saw that the large metal tube (crankcase breather tube?) running from the passenger-side valve cover to the rear of the air intake horn was not connected at the air horn. I reconnected it, and we've not seen the SES light come back on since. more

Unauthorized work 5/18/2011

Very disappointed, won't take my vehicles back here ever again!! We took the vehicle in for a complementary diagnostic, and then continued to perform a full diagnostic and charge us 100 bucks for it-not per the agreement, with no calls asking for our okay on the work provided. Definitely not satisfied, and think people should think twice before getting their cars worked on here!! more

Bad Service 5/6/2011

I have taken my car to LK for a few things so far. Most recently I had some warranty work done at the dealership and they told me I needed a oil change. I told them that I would wait because I wanted to use my shop that has a great deal. So I go out of my way to go to LK and drop the car off and then come to pick it up and they wanted over $40 for an oil change! I have never paid more than $20 here and that is why I come back. I told the woman there and she told me oh well you got a email with the $18.95 oil change price and that goes all this month....then she still would not fix the charges! Told me to bring another car in and they would give me that price for the entire month?! (I have no other car and last i checked you have at least 3 months in between changes) Then just said oh ok well next time I will give you a discount. I am on a limited imcome and next time won't be happening with this shop they have lost me as a customer this is ridiclous. more

Best oil change ever 5/6/2011

LK's had an oil change special so I went in on Wednesday to get my oil changed. It was a great experience. Not only do they know all about cars, the customer service is the best. I would recommend LK's to anybody who owns a car, wants service they can trust, and wants to be treated special, if so, then LK auto is the place to go. They excel at customer satisfaction and my car loves them too. more

Excellent Service and Customer Satisfaction 4/22/2011

I called ahead of time to ensure LK's could perform a oil and filter service on my 24' motorhome. They said they could, so I took it in yesterday. Parking was adequate to accommodate my motorhome. The staff was professional and courteous. Upon completion of the service, they parked my vehicle so I could pull strait out of their parking lot. I will return to LK's soon for additional preventative maintenance. more
