Little Anita's Mexican Foods

Went to L.A. in Old Town, ABQ on recommendation of locals. Asked waiter about enchiladas, said I didn't want a bunch of cheesy glop in rolled tortilla, substituted cheees for chicken at the expected extra cost. Plate arrived, beef okay but a dry, menu didn't mention ""jerky"" style, guac okay, beans were just a bunch of pastiness. Cut into enchiladas, big cheesy mess with a teaspoon of chicken between the two. When the waiter finally returned I told him about the enchiladas and his attitude was basically that's too bad that's the way they come. Asked for the manager his attitude was about the same. Requested the cost of cheesy gloppy enchiladas be deducted from the bill. Manager said he'd have to think about it. WTF??? I ended up paying for about two thirds of the bill. What really got me was on each table was sign stating if you're not 100% satisfied at first bite let the restaraunt know. I did and I got a bunch of attitude. What a first impression of Albuquerque. After having dined at Sadies this was pure disappointment. The taco was from Taco Bell and the salsa was not good. The Chile Relleno was OK and the only thing a little above average was the enchilada. Service was friendly and good, other than that I don't know why there were so many people dining here. Pros: Enchilada and service Cons: Almost everything else more

The food has always been excellent when we have ate at an Anitas. However the service is some times slow bring the bill. Pros: inexpensive, good parking, great food more

In a city reknowned for it's distinctive cuisine, the ""Little Anita's"" chain offers a nothing more than a strip mall restaurant in Jersey City. Their menu is bland, service is sub-par, and management unaccomodating. Their prices also leave much to be desired. If you're looking for the ""real deal"" taste of New Mexico, try Garcia's.....the restaurant ""Little Anita's"" would love to be. more

It astounds me that so many people eat at Little Anita's. It is truly the worst Mexican cuisine in Albuquerque. Don't go! Pros: Price Cons: Food, Service, Options more

Little Anita's is one of the best places to find New Mexican food. The sopopillas are wonderful, great service, and the food is to die for. My suggestion is the Red Chile Enchiladas...yummy yummy yummy. Pros: Good Food, Moderately Priced, Good Service Cons: Parking, Crowded on Weekends more
