Liberty Moving & Storage

This is my fourth move within Manhattan and my first one with Liberty Moving & Storage. I only wish I have learned about them sooner and used them for the fist 3 times. Every time before I used local companies that were not affiliated with a major chain like United and I was getting ripped off and figured it was just a ?part of moving? but they truly changed my opinion about it. I moved from Gramercy to the UES. Steve came over (on time!) to do the estimate and was so pleasant and professional. I got the quote on the spot and decided to go with them, there price was not the lowest but had learned before how quickly that can change. I chose the pack & unpack service this time (too stressful to do all on your own) and was so impressed!!! Once again, the crew arrived on time and were so respectful to me and my things. When they were done unpacking I felt settled in and only had a few boxes left to open. This service alone was worth every penny. I would highly recommend them, Steve and my Driver Dennis. I sold my house in Brooklyn and had to move in July. I haD lived in the house my entire life and it was going to be a chore to move. I had deliveries to two stops in LI. All I thought about was ""how are they going to do it?"". Bernie was my sales rep gave me an estimate. I didn't go to any other moving company because they came highly recommended and I did not have the time or energy to shop around. I got a great price and prayed everything would go well. My belongings were going into storage until I found a new home. They did not disappoint me. The crew lead by Julio arrived at my home at 7 am and called the night before! They did a great job of doing the inventory to packing my paintings, mirrors and other delicate belongings. They were professional and courteous and organized. They made the two stops later that day to my family members in Long Island with furniture and they were very careful to make the delivery with care and precision to both addresses. My Aunt recently passed. We needed to find a moving company to pack, move and distribute the furniture and keepsakes she left behind, from her West Side Apartment. The items were going to 3 places: my apartment on the Upper East Side; my Brother's home in Larchmont and the remainder to my Sister's place in Syosset. Pros: Solid company with great people. I recently bought the home of my dreams in Long Island! As much as I was exited about moving into it the thought of moving made me sick... A friend of mine recommended Liberty Moving and I couldn?t be happier that I took her advise. From the initial phone call I was treated like gold! I cannot express what a joy it was to use Liberty Moving and Storage last month. The original moving company I hired never showed up at my Manhattan apartment on Sunday to do my move. I left a message for Liberty Moving on Sunday night and they immediately called me Monday morning to try and help me. As it turns out, they did help me. More than I expected. more

""Moving Made Easy"" - that should be Liberty Moving & Storages slogan. My husband & I finally retired and decided to get out of the city & move to Arizona. We have 40 wonderful years of ""treasures"". My initial contact with Liberty was with their Customer Svc Rep, Karen. She was friendly, helpful and very patient ( I tend to ask a lot of questions). She set us up with an appointment to have their consultant, Steve, come to our home & write the esimate. He was such a pleasure. He wasn't your typical salesman. He wasn't in a rush to get in and out. He took the time to talk with us. There was also no pressure from Steve to sign immediately to lock in prices (like I had heard from other companies). we did sign that day anyway because the price was right and everyone was so pleasant. Wilpurt and his crew came on moving day. Wilpurt (the driver) introduced his crew, who were all just a friendly and professional as Karen and Steve. I have been working in NYC on a temporary assignment for 3 months and have recently been offered a permanent position, which I have accepted. Even though I was excited about living in NYC I was very apprehensive about the actual move. Moving from Russia to America is not an easy task, not to mention all the horror stories I have heard, and experienced, with some moving companies. However, this time it was not the case! I feel extremely lucky that I found Liberty Moving!!! They took such good care of me that I almost enjoyed moving.
