Even though my son is not yet of pre-school age, I know I will send him to Learning Star Preschool . One of my friends has a daughter who attends Learning Star and I attended their Christmas program last year. It was absolutely phenomenal. The kids were all very well-behaved for that age group. The show was wonderful and entertaining! My friend always has something good to say about her daughter's day at school, so I know that this is a great school to send any child! more

I love this school. My twins are now in the toddler room and they have been there since they were 3 months old. I spent their whole first year coming in at lunch everyday to nurse them and got to know the teachers and director. They are so caring and loving there, the director gives out her cell number if you ever have a problem or question (I've never had to use it), the teachers call if there's anything to communicate (fever, rash, a bump - with twins there's occasional fighting). When I drop them off they go running to their teachers, when we come to pick them up at the end of the day and we have to drag them out most days. When I was pregnant I called all the schools in the area around my work. Learning Star was decently priced, highly rated, and welcomed me in to visit then and once the kids were in the school anytime. I only wish they had a classroom camera to watch the kids at school but then I probably wouldn't get any work done. If I had to do it again I would definitely choose Learning Star. more

Our son attended Learning Star Preschool for a year when he was four years old. I particularly liked this school because they did not charge you an arm and a leg if you wanted to have care on a part time basis like Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Most places will not let you do this without paying almost as much as full time. They also has Spanish classes which our son enjoyed. During the summer they have summer camp. They have a lot of fun activities and field trips in the summer. They go swimming, to the movies and they even had a day when the kids can wear their PJs and watch movies in their room. The Christmas program and the graduation ceremonies were all out gala affairs. (Special costumes and everything). more

This is the absolute best daycare ever. My children have gone to other daycares, but this is by far the best. First of all, the staff, teachers, and director are phenomenal. You really can not expect a better atmosphere. I have 4 children which means I have had the opportunity to meet all of the teachers personally. They are very clean, loving, and caring. In fact, the only complaint that I may have is the teachers change my 2 year old's diaper so much, I run out quicker than expected. Unlike other schools, if you are slightly late on a payment, the director doesn't want to kick your child out until you can get up-to-date. I see some of the bad reviews and I can guarantee it is vindictive in nature. Every teacher knows all of the children; they have a very strict policy on discipline -- no child is ever yelled at or physically reprimended in anyway. The teachers really nuture the children, hug them, are patient with them, and do a great job in teaching them. This school deserves every 5 star on its rating, and, if possible, another. Please DO NOT believe the negative comments. They are soooooo not true. If you are thinking about this school, I promise, come ANYTIME during the day (this is what I do) to see the facility. At anytime you will find a very clean, loving environment full of nurture, learning, and play. You will find teachers that are loving and children that are happy. more

One of the things we loved about this preschool from our first visit was the celebration of diversity and the great care she received there. There is a wonderful ""family"" atmosphere and they have made visible efforts to improve the school's environment. My daughter has attending the school from beginning to her graduating to kindergarten and she misses the """"Learning Star Family"" very much. I would absolutely recommend this to any parent seeking childcare for their little one(s)"" more

My 5 year old and 1 year old go here and they are absolutely loved by all. From the first week, I was recognized along with my kids and we have all felt very comfortable and welcome. My youngest never had a babysitter, let alone daycare, for his first 14 months and he was fully adjusted and happy within two weeks. They have so many activities, a great schedule and neat weekly topics. I am very happy my children attend here. more

My son has been at learning star for about a year now. He LOVES it there and I love it too. The teachers are amazing and very nurturing and caring. It is very affordable and my son has a blast when he is there. I would recommend this school 100%. My son has learned so much and they are even helping me with potty training. He comes home happy and always has a great day. more

This preschool treats all children like family, and parents like family, too. We (our 2 children) and ourselves have been there for years, and the warmth, individuality, and creativity in this program has been an immensely positive influence in our children's young years. more

We love Learning Star because the kids have so much fun while being creatively challenged. My young four year old can count to 30 and knows and can recognize most of his alphabet, but comes home dirty from playing so hard. He is involved in art and goes on field trips that he loves. My older son has found lasting relationships. And the staff is very loving to all the children. more

My son has been attending the Learning Star Preschool for over 1.5 years and is currently 3 yrs old. Some of the reviews are not giving the School credit it deserves. The staff and Director have always been kind and courteous to my son and me. They have worked with me on payment options and work schedules. I have conducted surprise visits before, during or after nap time, to see how my son is doing and how he is being cared for. Never have I found something that alarmed me that he was not being cared for to the highest standards. I have open discussions with the teachers any time I have any concerns about behavior or weekly the training objectives. They have always been open to my concerns and helped me understand what can help my child at home when not in the school. I review the daily sheet everyday from the school, which lets me know what he ate that day, potty times, what they covered in class and if he took a nap. The hours of the school help me because I can drop my son off early (i.e. 7am) and or pick him up before 6:30 pm. A lot of the day cares close at 6pm, which would be tough for me since my work can run past 5:30 pm on some of the crazy work days. As far as security, they have a code lock to access the building and most of the time; some one is at the front desk to make sure no one just a slip in that does not belong. In every room, parents are required to sigh in and out every day. As far as what the Director drives, well that is irrelevant to my Childs care or learning experience. BTW, the Director normally drives a BMW like most of the people in Cary! I will admit that sometimes during the summer, my son will come home a little dirty, but there is a reason for this. The play ground is primarily mulch and not cement. But I would rather have a dirty happy child, than a child that broke an arm or something because of falling on a hard surface. And I think it is good for the children to get out of the building and play. In summary, my son and I enjoy this school. He has learned his ABC's and 1 to 10 in English and Spanish before he was 3 yrs old. But, the school has a warm and caring feeling to it, not a feeling of corporate business or a ""sit down and watch TV babysitter"" for 8 hours. As a parent to another parent, go check out the school and see it yourself. more

AWESOME DAYCARE CENTER! From the very fist day my child has been very welcomed and loved. He claps his hands when we pull up to school and is excited to be there. The director is very good with communication and has one of the biggest hearts which makes a big difference. I have a 5 year old who goes there when he is not in school and loves it and his brother who is 15 months old is there full time. This is the first center that I have been with that has generated a time to meet with me and talk about my childs progress. If you are looking for a place that your child will love than this is it!!! more

I had the pleasure of my kids being in this school because the director always hold this school to the highest safety, cleanliness and security system with keypad access. There s daily sign in and out for each child. And they always follow strict parent/guardian identification procedures. They also regularly inspect they building and playground to ensure that the kids is safe and secure. As a parent i will recommend this day care for all parents it is a great place for the kids to be, i m so glad i chose this center. more

We would like to thank you for your love and care to our daughters J. & C. We are so glad to see them enjoying their time playing and learning in Learning Star. C used to go to a different preschool (a five - star one). She cried almost every morning when we dropped her off. Yet, it is amazing to see that she has never cried in the mornings since we transferred her to Learning Star. We are now happy to see her running into the teacher's arm to say ""good morning"" and wave Mom and Dad goodbye with that smiling face. I always leave your school with a relief of mind, without any worry that I used to have. more
