Jcm's Dog Training

I recently completed the 8 week training course with JCM’s with my Rhodesian Ridgeback and my wife’s Jack Russell. We were promised at the beginning of the course that we would achieve off leash with our dogs. I have to say, I was skeptical at first. We had originally gone to Pet Smart where we learned from a pimpled faced trainer who claimed, “he knew everything about dogs.” He was also the cashier. I’m here to tell you he didn’t know squat. Neither did their head trainer and “mentor.” I also didn’t like the store’s passive disinterest when we complained that we were not getting what we were promised. Pet Smart promised us that our dogs would be well trained and obedient also, but all we got were disobedient food mongers. \r \r JCM’s was a totally different experience. This trainer really knew her craft. Not only were we shown step by step how to achieve our end goal, but we were also told why things needed to be done in a certain way. I feel we got so much more than our money’s worth.\r \r We were both extremely pleased and satisfied with the service offered through JCM’s. Our dogs are now very well trained and obedient, both on and off leash…. and that's saying a lot.\r If you honestly want your dog trained, please don’t go anywhere else.\r more

There is always going to be jealousy in this world. The review written below by SthrnLuv is a trainer from Petco. She does not agree with JCM's philosophy in regard to dog training, nor does she like what their website has to say, so she is going to all of the review sites bashing these people. \r \r JCM's has been in business for 31 years. That in itself is saying something. Take what people like SthrnLuv is saying with a grain of salt. more

I dont know why this trainer has 2 sites on here? Anyway I had a bad experience with the owner of this business a while back. she is very unprofessional in her attitude and there are other trainer in the area who act much nicer and do just as good or a better job than she does! the owner/trainer of this business is very negative. I recommend looking elsewhere for other trainers if you want a good experience when you train your dog! Cons: unprofessional & bad attitude more

I am retired, but my wife still works. We decided to get a dog so I would have company during the day. Lets face it, I'm not a spring rooster anymore, and the dog was becoming a handful. I wanted someone to train the dog for me. I didn't know if that was even possible until I came across JCM's Dog Training website. I inquired about them taking the dog and training him for me. The trainer said the program was called Board and Train. \r \r We went to the training facility. It was very nice. The trainer was a very knowledgeable lady. She showed me with one of her personal dogs what my dog would be learning. He was super well trained. It broke my heart, but I sent my dog away for 2 whole months.\r \r I have to say, it was worth it. He has house manners now, and listens to everything I tell him. I was instructed to work with him everyday, but I don't, and you know he still listens. \r \r I am very pleased with the Boarding and Training program conducted by JCM's. I highly recommend it to anyone who can't get out and train their dog from scratch. Pros: A beautifully trained dog without having to do any work Cons: Have to part with the dog for 2 months more

I found the obedience training I received to be very informative. I was able to apply what I was shown to my dog. It really worked.... and I had a bad dog. I am very satisfied. Pros: Savvy, Proficient Trainer Cons: No cons at all. more
