Who better than ask where to dine than 2 self proclaimed food snobs? Where else could we suggest than Ivy's Cafe? The drive from Uniontown is always relaxing, even in a snow storm when we know our destination is Ivy's. When we reach the door we always ask if table 7 is available. We love the cozy table for by the window and the fireplace. When seated our server, usually Tracy or Brenda make us feel welcome like we are family there for Sunday Dinner. We listen to additions to the menu but we have our favorites, especially for lunch. The Polynesian burger is grilled to perfection, which is a juicy hamburger patty, bottom bun with a fresh pineapple which serves as the top bun, a crispy pickle and on the side chips is my sig others favorite. I have designed my own special. The chef freshly prepares a salad with a scoop of the most tender, moist chicken salad with cranberries in the mixture complements my choice. We do not allow ourselves to indulge in desserts, but we get extremely tempted as we see other patron with theirs, especially the carrot cake, which we have overheard is an award winner. The atmosphere is an Eclectic mixture of wine bottle labels on the wall as a chair rail, antiques, local artists paintings , which are for purchase. The aforementioned reasons make Ivy's Cafe one of the best Restauant that this well traveled foodie has ever had the pleasure of becoming a repeat diner.
Cons: Not Close enough to dine at nightly!
