I bought a trumpet from them in 2008 set up a payment plan and then I bought a flute in 2010 also on a payment plan paying all along no hiccups. Or so I thought. Then my child comes home and says you need to call HURST, they took my flute today. She says that she was told to have her mommy call and if things get taken care of maybe she could have it back next week. Pros: null Cons: null more

Major billing problems 2/21/2012

This place was nice, we rented an instrument for my child. Then I started receiving all kinds of notices in the mail that I hadn't paid with extra fees. The letters indicated they had been calling which they had not. Then I checked the account tied to the automated payment and there was plenty of money in there. Other parents have mentioned the same thing happening to them. Pros: null Cons: null more

Pieratt's has a couple of locations around Lexington though I have only been inside the one on Nicholasville Road. Getting into and parking in their parking lot is difficult at best but is definately worth the effort. Though it's a relatively small shop compared to other big box stores here in town they offer the best deals on high end Audio/ Visual equipment and appliances. The sales staff is welcoming and friendly, allowing you to browse all you want and come to them when you have questions etc. Children are welcomed here as well and my girls have always been offered a cookie, a lollipop, stickers or something to keep them happy while we shopped. I've not had anything delived by them so I can't really review their delivery service but in store customer service has always been great for us. more

Good music store 11/29/2005

Hurst has a friendly staff, good selection of instruments, and a nice sheet music selection. Their band instrument rental program is nice, and they're very helpful. more

Quality Band Instruments 11/21/2005

Hurst has a nice selection of quality band instruments. If they don't have it they can get. it. They are always willing to spend time with musicians to make sure they make the right choice.They also have one of the bigger more organized selections of sheet music in town. The store is always very clean compared to other store in town and I've always been greeted kindly and with a smile from very knowledgeable, friendly staff. This is the best choice store for people who are serious about their instrument and want good customer serice as well. more
