In an ever continuing search for a great burger, I happened upon a great one here. 8 ounces served with fries for $7.95. It is by far one of the best burgers in town for the price, and I rarely give a highly recommended on value. The meat was cooked properly, had the crispy grilled surface, and the fires were good. The bun, tomato, lettuce, and onions were fresh. The tomato was not organic, but it was not expected. The waiter was a bit below par. He did not check on us, and he got the cheese we ordered wrong. Yes, the price includes your choice of cheese -cheddar or jack.
The only thing that was amiss was the aucoustics. The place is extremely noisy so it is hard to carry on a conversation. The bad news is that the building is for sale. So get it while you can.
Update: Recently tried the burger again and it was large and too greasy. Needed to be patted down. I prefer a drier burger which can be found back east at the 99 Restaurant chain. The moisture disintegrated the bun. A hardier bun is needed for this burger! So John Barleycorn's has taken top spot for best burger due to consistancy and a better bun.
Pros: burger
Cons: noisy, waiter
