This morning two technicians visited my home in response to a problem we?re experiencing with a strong sewer odor in the powder room.? While the problem unfortunately appears to be with the plumbing design that (hopefully) is covered under our home warranty, I want to pass along my feedback about the service I received.? You are the second company we have had out to diagnose the problem and the first one to identify a problem with the second floor toilet drawing water from the first floor.? I don?t recall the names of the technicians that visited my home, but both were extremely courteous and informative.? more

I would like to take a moment and thank you for your outstanding service.? Over the weekend we had a toilet back up and called Horizon for an appointment.? The service tech Isaac came during the allotted time and was very professional.? He diagnosed the problem in out main sewer line.? He worked on it for about 2 hours and found there to be roots and dirt clogging the line.? The next day the same problem occurred.? Isaac returned and found a substantial amount of roots and dirt in the line and immediately contacted one of your camera tech to come over asap.? Isaac prepared us for the worst case scenario in the fact that it looked like there was a severe crack in the line and would have to be replaced.? Later that evening the camera tech arrived, ran the camera through the line and declared that the line was clear!!!? I would like to commend Isaac on his skills and persistence in clearing the line and professionalism while he was working with us.? I truly believe that any other company would have charged us much more and tried to make us replace the line regardless of the issue. more

Merry Christmas - Horizon Heating Rescued a family in need 12/18/2010

I can't even explain how pleased we are with your service. Background: I overheard at work that one of our employees had no heat and six children at home - she was scheduled to work until 10 pm and the local oil repair service had promised to come out and had not arrived. When I got home I got online and searched for any emergency service that would help us and put out calls for help. I filled out the online request with Horizon and immediately got a call. By this time it was into the evening and the employee's house was 16 degrees and blankets up to the door. She had oil delivered but since she had to let the oil go to empty the burner wouldn't come on. Horizon called and Ray (serviceman) was on his way. It wasn't 45 minutes before Ray called and said that the heat was on. The mother called us and said that the children were jumping up and down and so happy. When I asked her when was the last time that the oil burner was on she said 5 days ago....so she had been without heat more

I had a sewer line installation yesterday. I just wanted to say that all of the personnel I dealt with performed in an exceptional manner! I am delighted with the results of their project! They worked in a very professional manner and accomplished the job in a reasonable amount of time. They took great care to ensure that the worksite was kept orderly, and they did a fantastic job of cleaning up after themselves! I’ve been extremely happy with the work done over the years by Horizon, and this one was the best yet. Thanks for everything!!! more

“I had a maintenance check up today under a service contract. It is a fairly new HVAC unit – installed in 2008 & I’ve had it serviced a number of times since then. Today’s technician, Mark, did an outstanding job…including a ‘spic n span’ cleaning and he eliminated a metallic rattle in the ductwork that has probably been there for the past 15 years. He represented Horizon in an exceptional manner. Thought you’d like to know. more

No thank you Horizon~ 10/22/2010

I called Horizon Svcs to repair a contactor in the outdoor unit of my heat pump. \r 1. I did not want to leave work so I asked to schedule for the next morning. I was told they could come late today when I got home. They came at 2 pm, called me at work and I had to leave early.\r 2. The driver ran me off the road leaving my house since he arrived before I could get home.\r 3. The tech knew nothing about my heat pump and told me the whole system needed to be replaced.\r 4. I was given a quote of $550.00 to replace just the contactor. Since then I received other quotes - the least expensive $139.00 and the most expensive $250.00. The unit is now repaired and working FINE. \r 5. They didn't want to take the coupon they printed in the phone book for a "Service Call" saying that it didn't cover a "Service Call". Since it was clearly a coupon for a service call, I called the service mgr. The tech then told me I got lucky and it was a misprint so they would honor it.\r 6. While finish more

hardworking plumbers 10/4/2010

I had some plumbing work done a few weeks ago, and let me say I was very pleased! His name is Steve and he was one of the most knowledgeable, courteous, hardworking guys I have seen. He took the time to go get parts and do a task that was unusual and required some thought. He also made sure the area was clean before leaving and that I was totally happy with the job. more
