My friend just passed away here. it was terrible, she spent the last 2 weeks of her life here in pain. I'm a pharmacist and I know that hospice usually is aggressive in pain management. It is not so here. I knew that my friend's pain could have been treated but the providers here were unwilling to do so. I had to fight for the family to get her increased pain relief, and even that took a long time. There was never a good reason for not treating her pain. My friend was tough. When she mustered the strength to tell the nurse she was at a 10 in pain (the worst pain imaginable) the nurse looked at her and said, ' it doesn't look like you're at a 10' . She was at a 10 for 2.5 hours and it took the intervention of another hospice program to finally get my friend the medication she needed. And that was only one example out of many. In my friend's words 'it's excuse after excuse'. Don't ever go here if you have a friend or family member in pain. Some of the staff here was good, some not so much. The many volunteers were very nice. This place broke my heart.
