Open scenery. This was the caption that pulled my attention to the Holiday Inn Express at Rocky Point. It is settled on the prestine waters of Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. Situated on an "island", Holiday Inn Express has quite a few local amenities to choose from. It is right next to Bahama Breeze restaurant. They specialize in carribean/american style cuisine, but an excellent place to dine being only 100 feet from the front door of the hotel. The perk that drew me to the hotel was the Park, Stay, and Go package. They let me leave my car at the hotel for up to 2 weeks and told me I would be shuttled from the hotel to the airport, and back after my vacation. Upon entry, I was warmly greeted by the front desk associate while being takin aback by the art work on the ceiling. It was almost as if I was staring through a window outside at the clouds. I was directed up to my room on the 4th floor and was also given a courtesy call after about 20 minutes to make sure everything was ok with the room. The room was ravishing! I drew back the curtain to reveal the elegant waters and the night sky with a view of State Road 60, which to me was surprising because there was no noise being so close to a major highway! The newly renovated hotel room was furnished with a large King Bed, a sitting area with a pull-out couch, a microwave and a refrigerator. It was all very glamorous. Just when I thought the best of it was over the hotel continued to make sure my stay was a 100% satisfaction. I was shuttled over to the mall by the very generous driver, which I would suggest tipping because of the great services! After I was picked-up and brought back, I approached the Front Desk to make sure all of my reservations were still set. They remembered exactly who I was and pulled up all of my information in a matter of seconds. The housekeeping staff also did a remarkable job keeping the hotel up to code and a great environment! I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my friends/family!
Pros: restaurants, shuttle service, malls, close to downtown tampa, impecable service
Cons: could use a bigger business center (ie: more computers)
