my husband and i along with our daughters went to the hanover inn for dinner. we sat outside on the terrace to an exceptional meal. the waiter was very accomodating to our young...

Great if youre visiting Dartmouth 8/17/2005

This is pretty much the official hotel of Dartmouth College. Like Wheelock Books, this place has a long rumored shady relationship with the College, whereby the school throws business its way in return for a cut, which is why its the only hotel within walking distance of the college. Speculation aside, this is very convenient if youre coming to Dartmouth because its right across the Green and no major place on campus is more than a 10 minute walk away, most being less than a 5 minute walk more

Best Hotel in the Upper Valley 8/15/2005

Set among the rolling hills of Hanover, NH, each guest room is individually decorated in a Colonial motif, with a private bath, cable TV, and air conditioning--and special touches to help you feel pampered. The hotel is a stones throw from campus and has an entrance on Main street in hanover (the shopping area). The hotel staff is professional and always willing to help. The hotel is owned and operated by the college so if you can arrange reservations through a faculty or staff member rates will be drastically lower, though you have to make these plans months in advance. more

nice place to stay 8/9/2005

Have stayed at the Inn several times over the years, most recently this May. Fabulous location right on the Green at Dartmouth College in downtown Hanover. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Breakfast in the Daniel Webster Room was delicious. We have enjoyed "Zins" for dinner in the past, which has reasonable prices and excellent food. Newly installed broadband internet access in the rooms and good wireless coverage (both free!) is a plus for those who bring their laptop along. Looking forward to our next visit. more
