Handyman Matters

I've used Handyman Matters Spokane quite a few times over the past year. I've used them for a few rental properties and businesses. They are very quick at responding, I don't know when a project might come up, or how long it will last, but they are always very accommodating and able to get to it and get it done quickly and efficiently. They've done small repairs, to larger projects to even helping me to move large equipment. I feel like they are sincere and honest and I can really trust them to do the job right. more

I met Dave of Handyman Matters Spokane at a local business meeting and he had been recommended highly by a lot of the members. We needed the pergola on our deck to be fixed because it was rotting. We hired Handyman Matters Spokane and they came by the time that they said they would arrive by. The cost was a little higher than their highest estimate but that wasn't their fault--it was what they had run into during the job. They cleaned up and left. This was the first time using Handyman Matters Spokane. This particular Handyman Matters with Dave Schmitt is an excellent company to deal with. There initial meeting to do estimates was informational to me the customer. Pertinent questions were asked and answered, which aided me in what needed to be done to complete the various jobs correctly. The workers were professional and polite. I would recommend them to anyone and would not mind being listed as a former customer who could be contacted to verify the level of their work. more

Doug arrived on time-gave estimate of time & $ amount. He did an excellent job & I am very happy with the result. I would use him again. When I first contacted you we agreeded to have someone come out to estimate the job. Later I rec'd a call saying you could give the estimaate over the phone. I said OK. The phone estimate was 357.00. My thought was that 357.00 was low & turned out it was low-- 935.43 I don't think your phone estimates are a such a good idea. Many homeowners will not understand everything that MUST be done and an on site person can offer suggestions to improve the job. more

I've had Handyman Matters Spokane out here several times, and every time I have used them, they have arrived on time with a good working knowledge of what needs to be done. One time their craftsman even arrived a minute earlier than the appointment and was able to look at the problem. Handyman Matters Spokane has done a real variety of things from weather-proofing, window cleaning, to minor repairs to metal siding. They've also installed lighting in my shop and garage. They have always done the job in an efficient and cost-effective manner. One thing about them is that they always follow up with a phone call within hours after completion to see how well things went. If something is not done completely correctly, they will rapidly correct the problem at no extra charge. They have sent the same guy (Mike) every time, which they probably don't do on purpose, but it's really nice to have the same craftsman. He knows me and it's been really nice to work with him. Dave is in my business networking group and I've known about his business since the beginning. We had a few glitches with some of the subcontractors, but not with Handyman Matters itself. When there was a problem, they stepped in and took care of it for us, and we thought that was really nice. They took our 50 year old kitchen and gutted it to the studs, then went from the insulation forward from there. They discovered when taking up the old stuff to lay down a porcelain tile floor that the old sub-floor would have to be replaced or it would not work and we would not be happy with the result. It ended up being $2500 to fix it, but the tile is gorgeous, and we're really glad. Although it was more expensive, it came out perfect, and I know if they would have just slapped it on top it would not have been okay. The cost increased because of their discover, but there was no way they could have known until they tore it up. I'm glad they were willing to do it, even though it would cost more, to take it and make it appropriate for what we wanted on top. We would recommend Handyman Matters. Most of the people that work for them really know what they're doing, and they're really good at what they do. They're pleasant, and nice to have in the house. We were just really happy with the way everything went. It took a little long and cost a little more than planned, but that's because the floor thing threw the whole plan wacky, as you can't really do anything without a floor. We really liked their workmen, and if they ever go some place else or go independent, they should let us know, because we would like them to come back. more

I hired Handyman Matters of Spokane to help me prepare my house to sell. I called them out for an estimate, and they arrived on time. They looked at everything, and gave me options that were helpful in terms of getting the job done right and still saving money. Once we struck a deal, they did everything they said they would, and did it well. Handyman Matters fixed a leak in a one shower, fixed another shower door, and re-attached a handrail. They also did a bunch of other small things that required attention. Throughout the process, they were very responsive and reliable. My only complaint was that their hourly rate seemed a little bit high. Still, I would recommend them is you need something done quickly, and done right. You don't always get that with service people. more

If you are looking for a Handyman Service who is ethical and will go above and beyond what is expected than Handyman Matters is who you should choose. I have had them landscape, move heavy equipment, and fix a window. more
