Goddard School

We had our 5-year old daughter in the Goddard school on Davis Drive in Morrisville for a short period, for three or four months due to a family matter. We had a time gap between us working full time and the first day our daughter went to a year-around school. From the first minute our daughter walked in the Goddard School, she felt welcomed and important. Every day I struggled to get her in the car to drive back home because she did not want to leave. She always wanted to stay more and play. Every day teachers have had some kind of projects for the kids with arts, math, reading, and learning overall. One day, I was truly amazed on the topic of the lesson the kids were involved in. The Dinosaurs. The 5-year olds were able to recognize and name the dinosaurs one can find in the encyclopedia. How about that?! Sign language, yoga, early reading, creativity, and etc The Davis drive branch teaches kids to recognize and appreciate different cultures, which I think is the most important part of social co-existence. During the time of our enrollment, we were invited (almost every Saturday) to either a food festival, or parent-child walk, or family movie. In other words, the directors kept us busy. At the end of every day, the parents receive a daily card report on how their kids interacted during the day and what their kids have learned.\r The staff members and teachers are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I had no doubts or concerns leaving my daughter with class teachers ( I really would like to name teachers here, but I will leave them incognito due to security reasons).\r Another thing I would like to point out is wooden furniture and toys. For those of you who are in the organic lifestyle, this is a big plus. \r To conclude, I would like to mention a Graduation Day. The Graduation Day was held at the City of Morrisville Town Hall. The first part of Graduation celebration was dedicated to a different culture presentation. The kids performed a graduation song wearing their national folk costumes. We had our children here for two years. Given our experience, I have to warn any parent thinking of enrolling their child in this school. The last year of our attendance, teacher attrition was extremely high. Just recently, this school lost another good teacher who literally walked out due to the poor treatment of staff and children. She was not the first to leave in this manner. Although I completely understand the need for owners to make money, these owners take it to the extreme and it shows in the lack of care that children receive. The owners put up a nice facade, but it is just that. Please think twice before putting your children in their care. more

When I was first looking for a preschool to send my daughter to, I received a lot of recommendations for this particular school from co-workers and friends. After visiting the school for the very first time, I knew that my daughter would not only have fun but also learn a lot from the curriculum that they have at the school as well. My children have been attending the Goddard School for 3 years and we have loved every minute of it. \r The school always has planned events for families and we get information about what is going on. If we ever have questions, the Director or owners follow up with my husband and I right away.\r It is a great school and I completely recomend it. My children have learned a lot, and they have been very happy with the teachers and the whole environment.\r \r more

If possible I would have given this place a negative rating. The reasons:\r 1) Owners\r 2) Mistreatment of children - extremely low quality of care\r 3)High staff turnover \r \r I am extremely disappointed with the way my children were treated. They got low quality play materials, low quality food despite the teachers trying their very best. All the owners care about is making money. They dont care about the duping parents who believe that their children are well cared for. Teachers were fired because they dared to question the owners mistreatment. My experience was a nightmare and I want to warn other parents so that they stay away from the place and not harm their children.\r \r more

I had my daughter attend the school for part time program. The teachers are wonderful, although they lost some teachers during our stay, but they kept the quality of program high by hiring new teachers with same caring and loving nature. They have good security system of biometric reader, that made me feel safer. Whole staff made our first school experience great for us.\r \r They keep doing little things for families which makes the enviornment charged up for kids.\r \r overall experience just great. more
