Goddard School

My Child joined Goddard 1 year back and he has learnt so much since then. Sometimes he shows me Yoga poses at home which is so impressive. I love it when he speaks few words in Spanish. Overall i am impressed with the curriculum and care teachers provide. I will highly recommend this facility. more

I love the way teachers have such creative and innovative ways to teach simple things. We came to NC few months back and it was very tough for us to find a good daycare for my 1.5 yr old. Since we have joined Goddard I am at ease as my child loves his teachers. They give us the daily information on emails and sometimes his pictures doing some activity. I just love it. The information are very detailed, my child is learning sign language and i feel proud of that. The Staff is very friendly. The administrators are always there to help me. My child always comes happy back home. I will give the school Thumbs up. Thank you so much. more

My son has been attending the Goddard School in Morrisville, NC for over 2 years and it has been a great experience working with all the management and staff. The entire management and staffs are so open, welcoming and are very friendly. My son’s academic is very important to me and because of the care and teaching at the Goddard school I’m pleased with what he has achieved so far. My family truly appreciates the diversity in the school ethnic makeup and culture. It brings different traditions together and helps kids explore other cultural elements as well as helping children feel a part of something. \r Also want to say Thank you to Neha and Arvind for addressing my concerns regarding transitioning my son to Pre-K class. I was able to get all of my questions answered and felt confident that all will be fine once I spoke to you guys. I am also very pleased with timely responses whenever there is a concern. My daugther has been going in this school for last 2.5years, since she was 1.5 years old. She has been through 5 classes- changing every 6 months. All her teachers have been fabulous and loving. Her confidence level is very high and is doing academically also above her level. The whole staff, management and owners have been very helpful throughout. They keep adding new things to school and keep doing lots of activities every month on Saturdays which keeps us engaged with our kids and their school...Our daughter loves her school. My daughter has been attending the pre-k since last year and I have seen a lot of improvement in her reading skills.She has gone from 0 to being a really good reader in a span of four months. I am very satisfied with the teachers and all other staff.I would recommend this school for anyone looking for a pre-k for their 3 -4 year old. more

I a writing this after talking with 10 other parents currently enrolled kids in your school. We’ve had a very positive experience with this school over the last year. We had just moved to this area and enrolled our son in the Pre-K classroom. The loving and encouraging environment provided by the staff and management really helped him to get settle in and develop over the course of the year. Eventually we also ended up admitting our 2 year old daughter in the toddler classroom and she is also having a great time so far. Their academic curriculum is very good. The school also organizes various social events from time to time which is a great way to get to know the Goddard community. Their pre-K graduation program was awesome! more

My son joined the school in 2 1/2 yr old class few months back and he loves it. He comes with wonderful art work every day and I am amazed how much he is learning. He is excited to go to the school everyday and even on Saturdays he tells me to get him dressed for the school. I love it. Everybody is so nice and friendly. Thumbs up for the school. \r \r more

This is NOT the place you want your children. The price of tuition is going to line the owner's pockets. The owners are not in this business for the well being of children. Children are not given consistency, they are shuffled from room to room, so STATE ratios are kept in check-not the 5 STAR RATIOS you are paying for. Turnover is EXTREMELY HIGH- because working there is stressful with little to no help from management. The owners put on a very good show to get you in the door, but it soon becomes evident that it was all a sham. The teachers that were there are excellent, (they are the only reason the place got a star at all!) but because of lack of support, almost all of them have gone. Don't make the same mistake we did. Stay away! more

This is one of the worst schools to bring your toddler period! The teachers are in consistent , were they swap teachers from classroom to classroom. They swap kids from classroom to classroom, ya sure when the parent drops the kid off and pick their kid up its the same room and MAYBE the same teacher. But what they don;t know is how many times their kid has gone from room to room. So no consistency that's one complaint. Which for toddlers is a very big deal!... Others are since my child has been enrolled I found out there has been 27+ teachers that just left or quit, my child has only been there for 8 months and will soon be leaving! So 27 teachers in 8 mons, I don't think its the teachers at this point management has something to do with that and I really don't want unhappy employees watching my kid! The owners don't care very much about the child as they do about money, so anything that would help your child learn such as supply's for art or new playground toys or even sand for their sandbox must just be to much to ask...! So I could go on but i think you get the idea. This not all Goddard schools i can't speak for all for they are a franchise and run a little differently other places.so for the money there is a LOT better places for your toddler!

The Goddard school on Davis drive takes care of my two girls aged 2 years. I would highly recommend this school to all parents looking for a good school for their kids. The teachers are very caring and affectionate and look after the kids as their own kids. The teacher kids ratio is very low and this provides the teacher with ample time to spend time with each of the kids. All the kids in my daughters class refer to each other as buddies and the philosphy is also reflected in the class name. The girls get to play 30 minutes daily in the playground and the teachers make sure that they get the kids involved in various innovative activities from drawing to hand painting. One of my most memorable painting is the one which my kids gave me for my home coming gift. The communication between the teachers and parents is excellent and they keep us informed on everything that impacts my kids. At the end of the day the activity sheet provided by the class teacher allows you to feel what my kids did in the calss. This always makes for intresting reading. The school also conducts many activities for the kids like the fashin show, talent show and they recently participated in ""Morrisville Town Winter Parade"". In short I feel that this school is Home away from Home for my kids. more

My little 2 yr 9months loves his school, friends and teachers. Very friendly owners, teachers and staffs, great curriculum and activities for kids. Lots of events and activities for parents to get involved. My son has learned a lot of things including some Spanish words and numbers. I recommend this school. more

I have a toddler here at The Goddard School and it has been a great experience and easy transition from the old Daycare. 1-I love that the school is flexible with the drop off of my child. 2-The events are mainly on the weekends, which my entire family can be a part of because no school or work day and that there are plenty of events that we all can take part of Such as: Halloween Costume party, Expo, Magic Show, Family and Friends party at Bond Park. 3-The teachers are so concerned & interactive with all kids, not only mine. Reading is an every day activity. My son vocabulary is wider now. 4-I love that they provide a traditional meal or vegetarian meal according to my culture and all the food is catered. 5-Management is very cheerful from the moment my child and I enter from the moment I leave. I feel confident that my child is in good hands. 6-Upon entering the School there is tight security by fingerprinting imaging, if you have none you need to be buzzed in by an employee. I have recommended friends and co-workers to The Goddard in hopes of their child being in an atmosphere of love, attention and great tools for the teachers to teach their precious child. more

I would definitely recommend this school to my friend. Pros: 1) Good location - heart of RTP. 2) They are open from 7am-6pm 3) Organize events throughout the year and engage kids-parents in a lot of activities - like Child Expo, Magic Shows, Movie Nights etc. 4) My kid loves the school and enjoys working with the teachers. 5) Option to send home cooked meal Cons: 1) A constant change in the teachers - this is the main reason they are getting 3 stars. 2) Sometimes phone responses are slow. 3) Owners sometimes act artificial and could definitely improve on their management skills. more

Our child has been at this ""school"" for several months and in that time we have witnessed over 5 teachers leave. Every response when I ask is, ""it's time to move on to better things."" Sorry, but when there is teacher turnover like that in 4 months, there is a problem with the management. For the price of the tuition, we are not happy at all with the care our child has received. When we addressed our concern about consistency in the classroom (meaning the same faces there) I was abruptly interrupted and told ""you're wrong, the consistency is in the curriculum, not the same teachers there each day."" Um, sorry, but I tend to disagree. I'm talking about a TODDLER. I felt my concerns were dismissed as if I knew nothing at all. And when we're paying the high tuition that we are, I expect to be listened to without being interrupted. I don't think that's too much to ask. The other thing is when people at the school (other teachers) asked where we were putting our child, their response was ""Oh yes, that's a great school. Lots of our kids and teachers are going there."" Problem? I think so. Sorry, I realize there are many 5 star reviews and I honestly believe you're putting these reviews after not having been there long enough to see through the facade of the owners. I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. Especially for the cost of the tuition which is outrageous. In addition, when the owners come to hug my child, my child screams and runs in the other direction. This is not normal for my child and a good indication of the facade the owners give to the parents. Don't be duped like we were. I saw a comment on a post saying that all daycare/childcare has high turnover. I disagree. The new place where we are putting our child has teachers there FROM THE GODDARD SCHOOL and the majority of their teachers have been there for 5 years or more. That speaks volumes about the management. more

My daughter has been at Goddard for a year and 1/2. The main reason we wanted to explore other pre-school options was to ensure that she received a diverse learning experience. I feel that she has certainly gotten a good academic foundation. She truly enjoys various learning activities that The Goddard School offers. She enjoys interacting with the teachers and staff there. Based on her learning experience at The Goddard School she will definitely be ready for kindergarten. more

As a parent I felt my child teacher was great. She was very patient with the children. She told me how excited she was to be a teacher at The Goddard School. I felt that the owners of the school went above and beyond to meet the needs of the children and parents. As a parent I received great feed back about my child daily activities and concerns within a timely manner. The atmosphere of the school is warm and always clean. The owners are very nurturing to the children and always greet them with a hug or smile. Their reputation is known to exceed above excellence in the Morrisville/Cary area. I enjoyed the curriculum and resources that was provided to make sure the children were getting the best for their over all educational needs. The owners were always open to suggestions and very supportive to all the teachers. The Goddard School is a great place to be if you are looking for professional teachers and management that provides a warm , nurturing, safe environment for children. more

My daughter has attended this daycare for a few years now. I am disappointed with the turnover rate, but my child has absolutely loved each of her teachers. I have heard a lot of negativity regarding the ownership, and while I tend to agree with some of it, the owners are not the ones watching over your child on a daily basis. The owners are extremely interested in you and your child when money or publicity is involved, and unfortunately, it seems to be all about money to them. However, it is a business.\r \r My child has learned so much over the years in this school, so they're doing something right! Overall, the school could stand to hire teachers that are better than just ""average"", as some of them absolutely are. more
