Fry's is an Electronics retail giant who draws a lot of people to its stores due to their large amount of electronics merchandise, numerous ads, and discounted prices. I had been patronizing Plano's store since its opening but I recently noticed that the customer service there is deteriorating. This didn't bother me much since I am a techie which eased my shopping experience there. \r

From time to time I was getting defected merchandise but I didn't have a problem returning them as long I had the receipt. Well this being said, yesterday to my surprise I was treated poorly when I tried to return a box of media that I purchased a few days earlier and found the 1st disk not working so I took them back. The manager in charge happened to be at the return area at the time and refused to take it back unless I pay a penalty for opening the box to use it saying that he can't 'resell' the box to another person with full price!.\r

I was foolish enough trying to explain that this was a bad merchandise that should be send back to the manufacturer rather than be put back on the shelf but the man had no interest in customer satisfaction. I refused to pay anything in lieu of returning the defected item and since it wasn't expensive I preferred to keep it as a reminder if I see Fry's ads and get tempted in the future to patronize the store.
