This used to be a great resturant with great service and food. The view is still very good, but the food is tasteless. It's another business that pushes over fried foods for too much money. Look around the shoreline for smaller, privately owned resturants. You'll get great food, great service and still have a great view. more

The Best Seafood and Steak in One Place! 6/5/2005

I went to the Boardwalk for my birthday this year. I decided to eat at the Flying Dutchman and I loved it!! My husband could not quit talking about how good the steak was and how they had cooked it to his specifications. The seafood was my favorite...it was SO fresh and the ambience in the restaurant was perfect...we were dressed casual and still fit in. It was a very enjoyable experience!!!! Great Eats and best soft shell crab around 5/8/2005

We have been going to the FD for many years and it is consistently good food and good service. I adore fried soft shell crab and it is the BEST! I would recommend eating downstairs except for special ocassions - dress casual and enjoy the view. Pros: soft shell crab, all seafood more
