We go here every year to pick our own apples with our children. They have a variety of different apple trees planted and we try to pick different types of apples each year to experiment. Last year it was JonaGolds, this year we went with a mix of Red Delicious and McIntosh. Next year we will probably try the Honey Crisp. The different sections of trees are all marked with a sign, and the owner directs you where to go and what signs of ripness will look like for the type of apple you want. You do have to be careful of bees though. If you don't feel like picking your own you can just go to the little store set up at the entrance and just like an old fashioned farm stand you can purchase freshly picked apples and some other produce, as well as a small selection of goods such as cider, pies, jams and jellies. All in all, this is a small family owned and run business that offers a great family outing for Fall at a good price, and you can't beat the taste of "fresh off the tree".
