Dresden Hair Studio

I moved here from NYC and was very comfortable with my colorist back there. In fact, I would fly back to NYC just to get my hair colored! This turned out to be too expensive and I needed to find a good one here in the ATL. After an exhaustive search, I finally found Dresden Hair Studio and Peter! Peter worked with me from the beginning to get my hair exactly the way I wanted it. Not to mention he is also the greatest person you'll ever meet! We have gone through the blonde stage and now the dark stage and my hair has look fantastic every time. Peter also does the Brazilian Blowout and I have also had this done on my hair. Let me tell you, my hair is probably the thickest most curliest hair Peter has ever seen and the Brazilian Blowout has decreased my prep time from 45 minutes down to 15. I don't even use a round brush to blow it out. Just my regular brush. i would recommend Peter to anyone who is serious about looking great and having fabulous hair! more

I won a gift certificate at a silent auction for Dresden and after checking it out online decided to try them out and get a haircut. I had Peter who was extremely knowledgeable and talented. He listened and then made suggestions that were spot on. The vibe of the salon was friendly and inviting. I love my haircut and will go back for color and highlights more

I was fortunate to find Caprice again in Atlanta after searching for a couple of years. She left the salon I originally visited and I was unable to find where she moved. Since I've been going to Caprice I've gotten more compliments on my hair than I ever have before. She does fantastic color and has given me an excellent cut. I have very difficult high maintenance hair and Peter has done a fantastic job of determining what will work. I am in sales and constantly receive compliments on my hair. He is very professional and listens to what I need. He follows up to see how my hair is doing. I always enjoy visiting the salon as it is such a great experience. When I first came to Peter, my hair was a mess and he was so patient with me and worked towards a good solution. I highly recommend him and Dresden Hair every chance I get. more

Since moving to Atlanta 3 years ago, I can finally stop searching for a stylist! \r \r Peter Lloyd always did a nice job cutting my boyfriend's hair, so when I couldn't get an appointment at my old salon, I went to Peter.... and never went back!!! I can't say enough good things about him! Not only is he fun to be around, but he always takes the time to find out exactly what is is you're looking for and then delivers! I was so happy when I found this gem of a salon in the Brookhaven area. I'm new to Atlanta and I had bounced around to several different salons in an effort to find someone who actually knew something about blonde coloring. Every place I went I would specify that I wanted to have NO ROOTS. Then they would proceed to give me $300 highlights and I'd go home not looking much different than when I walked in - huge frustration for us blondes! Then finally I strolled into Dresden Hair Studio and booked an appointment with Peter - it must have been my lucky day. Not only did he color my roots to my specifications, but he also added highlights and lowlights to give new depth and texture to my lackluster blonde locks. In addition, Peter is the only colorist/stylist that has ever recommended hair products to me that actually work for me! I have since been back to Peter twice and couldn't be happier with the quality, price and friendly environment. Yesterday, I had my second experience with Dresden Hair Studio. The first time I went in for a cut (trim) only and was booked with Peter as my stylist. He listened to my needs and did exactly as I asked since I am growing my hair out. I left a happy customer and decided to come back and give him a try for my highlights instead of the MUCH pricier salon I have been using for over 3 years now.\r \r During my first appointment with Peter, he explained that due to my natural light blonde hair, I don't need to be getting a full highlight every time and am being overcharged. That struck a nerve because I have been doing that for 3 years! In addition, my previous stylist would always upcharge the full highlight and give me a deep conditioning treatment without asking. When I would get the bill, it was too late to dispute it since the service had already been performed. \r \r Anyways, back to Dresden, yesterday was my first appointment for a PARTIAL highlight with Peter and he did an amazing job! He listened to what I wanted and even read my mind for which I didn't know how to explain. In addition to doing an amazing job on my hair, he sent me on my way with samples of shampoo and conditioner to try on my hair since I'm in the market for something new in that department as well. I used one of the samples this morning and it did the trick! Those Bumble and Bumble products are amazing. I recently had my hair Japanese Straightened at Dresden and I love it. The price was affordable for the service and my has never looked better. My hair is immune to humidity but still isn't packed to my head. If you're loocking for this type of service, Dresden is the place for your. I've been a customer of Dresden for 6 years and have always been more than happy with my cuts and colors as well. The staff is very friendly and offers great advice about hair. OMG! I have been all over the city to get my hair colored. I jump around and just could not find the RIGHT person to click with.(They did what ever they wanted to do). I have found a GOLDMINE. RITCHIE took his time to sit and listen to what I really wanted. He was VERY honest to let me know what was ""realistic"" with my hair. RITCHIE gave me exactly what I have been trying to get with my hair. I had hi-lites done and they are so close to the root they look like they are growing right out of my head! I look and FEEL the best I ever have. RITCHIE is amazing and works great with me! He gives the ultimate shampoo and the best haircut and color! RITCHIE is the BEST! I can't sing enough of his praises. I had a terrific experience and will be back! CALL him today to make an appointment and see what all the fuss is about! Just don't take my appointment time. Richie did a great job with both my cut and highlights. He gave me several ideas of styles and colors to try, but in the end really listened to what I wanted and the way I style my hair and gave me the perfect cut. The salon is relaxed and friendly with great customer service. more

I've lived in Atlanta my entire life and have been a habitual salon bouncer. I'd go from salon to salon trying to find the perfect stylist. I started going to Dresden Hair Studio over a year ago and will never leave! I love how laidback everyone is there...absolutely no pretentious people whatsoever. But more importantly, Ritchie is a genious! He does the best color in Atlanta hands down and is a blast to spend a couple of hours with. Cheat on whoever is currently doing your hair and try out Ritchie...you will thank me! The day of my pageant, I went to DHS and had no idea on what I wanted. Heath just took a look at my dress. With his originality/creativeness, he created an absolutely gorgeous updo in just about 45 minutes. Heath is amazing. I am certainly returning for my prom. Pros: Great Service! more

Before I started going to Dresden, I had not had a regular stylist in a while. Dresden was recommended to me by a coworker and I have not strayed from the salon since. I have had my hair done by Jeff, Heath, Michael, and Richie and they have all been great! The salon has a great atmosphere and all the staff are knowledgable and up to date on the latest styles. I am a loyal customer of DHS. Ritchie has transformed my hair into the best cut I've ever had. He is consistent every time. Ritchie gives sound advice about what hair style goes best with the shape of my face. Everyone is professional and fun. I am confused about the review from abc127. When I am in the salon, all the customers are so happy and content. Is it possible that abc127 had a severe bout of PMS that day? Pros: Professional and talented stylists, relaxing atmosphere. This is a top notch hair salon! I have been to DAS, Carter Barnes and Van Michaels? and Dresden Hair ranks right up there, but with a friendlier, more down to earth atmosphere. My stylist, Ricky, spent a lot of extra time with me teaching me how to best style my new doo?which I love. I will definitely be a returning customer. more
