Boy oh Boy! I made the mistake of reading the reviews after I'd placed my order for firewood, which was not delivered. Mind you, my card was charged immediately. I called and inquired about the missed delivery but was given the run around. When it was clear that the wood would not be delivered I informed them that I would like to cancel the order. The nice lady on the phone told me she did not know how to do that. She said that she would have to call Denny and then call me right back. She never called back. I had to cancel through my bank. Usually, I regard negative reviews with a bit of trepidation. In this case, they seem to be true. Based on my experience I would not recommend this business. more

sells product that is old dried out, top soil not screened, sod that is old and dried up.. and the stories they tell you he has the lady posted with same answer he will call back. he will show up tomorrow, never shows, again next date to come over and see problem he is a no show... I wonder about this landscaper... too many bad reviews and problems associated with his services.. time for him to get some help could be... paramus resident andrew more

We found Denny on Angies list. I made a call he came out did a walk around with my husband. We explained that we ere living on a fixed income so we could only do the minimum. He and his crew cleaned up the the entire yard front and back. Put down mulch, put in some small new trees and bushes. Beautiful Fire Thorns, Azalea trees,boxwood and he gave us a blue berry bush to attract Birds. With all of this he kept within the Price Range we gave him. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a great not good but great job more

Trash work and takes no responsibility. Ripped out all our landscaping last November, it is almost August and he is nowhere to be found to do the planting. Tore out 20 feet of hedge he was supposed to leave and two forty-year-old rodis and said he would “do something to fix it”. NOTHING. Put in bluestone steps and walkway that has settled and is uneven the steps are completely different depths and heights…close to hazardous. Said he would come back to fix them. NOTHING. If you’re thinking about spending money with Denny Wiggers, burn it instead. It will be less aggravating. more

I too ordered firewood last week and it refuses to maintain a decent fire. It smolders and smokes. Only way to keep the fire going is to keep the door open for increased air to compensate. I purchased a bundle of seasoned mixed wood at my local Shop Rite and got just the opposite results. The fire rages with the supermarket bought wood. Now I know it's the wood. Denny's wood is so heavy. The drier wood from the supermarket is much lighter, , not doubt because it's properly seasoned. Denny says he has not received complaints from other customers about his wood, but I know now this can't be the case. Please, if anyone else is experiencing similar problems please post your feedback here. more

This guy is a cartoon. People like him are what has made the state of New Jersey synonymous with shysters and riff raff. I was ripped off by him twice. About a month after having been delivered some rather expensive firewood, he called to see if I wanted to order more. When I told him my previous order was green and less than a cord he said he would "make it right". He did so by saying he would only charge me for half a cord on the next cord... fair enough. I decide to give him a second chance. This time he delivers me less then a HALF a cord, again, green wet wood pawned off as aged firewood. The nerve to deliver me less then half a cord when my major complaint the previous order was that he had shorted me the last time, like I am so stupid I don't know how to measure 4 x 4 x 8? It's like this clown gets his jollys ripping people off. Also, I seriously doubt any favorable reviews posted of this charlatan are real, but more likely just shills posted by Wiggers himself. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. more

I saw in my local paper regarding Denny Wiggers and how he was an expert with Christmas Lighting. I now wonder who he paid off for the paper to publish that he's an expert and seeing the other negative reviews I guess I wasn't alone. I called Denny Wiggers, two guys showed up with poor speaking communication and without knowing what they were doing attempted to decorate several of my trees. A complete mess, worst Christmas lighting ever. more

My review about Denny Wiggers Landscaping and the nightmarish events. I had read where Denny Wiggers Landscaping provided Christmas decorating services in Bergen County, NJ. I phoned the company and the owner (Denny Wiggers) visited my house the next day. Denny provided a quote and told me how he could make a wonderful Christmas lighting and decorating design with my outside. Once I agreed (December 2, provided full payment) than Denny said the decorating would begin right away. A week goes by and no phone calls, no visits to decorate. I call Denny Wiggers Landscaping and talked to someone that tells me that Denny will be calling soon. Another week goes by and same result, then final few days before Christmas and a couple of people arrive and put up some lights on the trees and that's it. Half the lights didn't work, called and they said again, Denny will be calling you. This has been a complete NIGHTMARE. Denny Wiggers is a slick snake-oil salesman and that’s it. Don't use him. more

I have been ripped off. Do not recommend Denny Wiggers. Hidden service change, less than a cord, ridiculously odd sized mismatched wood and it was so green it felt like iron. The stuff would hardly burn it was so wet. I called and complained and Denny or whoever said he would remedy the situation in a few days, but it never happened. more

After reading the many negative reviews about Denny Wiggers Gardens and their firewood, I felt I should be obligated to share my horrible experience with Denny Wiggers Gardens in Paramus New Jersey. I ordered online for firewood in bergen county nj where I live, and paid extra for the stacking of the firewood. Beginning of the disaster, I asked for the firewood to be delivered while I was home at a certain time of the day. The person did not arrive at the scheduled time, the delivery truck left lots of mud and oil all over my driveway, the firewood was NOT stacked but instead dumped all over my backyard, did NOT include the free kindling, the firewood itself was not seasoned and had mildew all over the firewood. Good luck trying to get Denny Wiggers Gardens to clean up their muddy, oil mess, bring you firewood that is actually seasoned and not molded. I won't be buying firewood or anything else ever again from Denny Wiggers Gardens. more

Usually I don't search online for something as firewood but decided this time I would search for a firewood supplier that offers firewood in new york city and has a delivery service. I searched on google for new york city firewood delivery service and came across denny wiggers firewood. The website says they offer free firewood delivery to new york city, free kindkling and next day delivery. Well things are not as they always seam and promise. I ordered for next day delivery and did not receive the next day, I called multiple times and finally a week later they delivered the firewood. The wood itself was a mixture of molded and green and cut in odd shapes. I couldn't get a good fire going since the wood was so green and the firewood was not seasoned. Further they did not bring the free kindling and I discovered on my credit card they charged me $25 for the delivery service which was suppose to be free according to their website. I called many times to report the molded green wood, no kindling and I was charged a delivery fee. Each time they tell me the owner Denny Wiggers will be calling me to straighten up the issues. Well that hasn't happened. I would NOT recommend this company, don't buy from denny wiggers firewood company. more

I hired Denny Wiggers and his company Denny Wiggers Landscape Design in Bergen County NJ to put a retaining wall in 2 years ago for my home in New Jersey. Not surprisingly the retaining wall collapsed almost immediately and I have been fighting with Denny Wiggers ever since to get the retaining wall fixed. Without a doubt court action is the next and ONLY remaining step. FRAUD WARNING..NEVER ever hire and buy from Denny Wiggers otherwise you will deeply regret ever meeting and hiring Denny Wiggers. more
