We contacted Dave's when we were having furnace problem's. They came within 2 days later (now without heat for 3 days). dave said it only needed to be cleaned, so he did that. Right after he left when the furnace called for heat again, it would not ignite. We called and he said, oh it must be the sensor, so he ordered one and came back with it the next day (4 days without heat in December). Put it in and left - again when the furnace called for heat it would not ignite. Called back and he said oh, it must be the board which is about $400. so he said he would order one and call us when it was in. 2 WEEKS LATER (after heating our home with in-floor basement heat, our gas fireplace and a space heater) and after several calls from us, they finally come with the expensive part and to save money we installed ourselves. Still the SAME problem. Frustrated that Dave's would not return our calls. we called Eco-Air to come in and they assessed the problem immediately and were surprised that Dave did not check this problem first! So, now we have 2 UNNECESSARY expensive parts. We put the old ones back in and are hoping to sell the new ones on e-bay to try and get some of our money back. The furnace works great now. We will NEVER call Dave's again and suggest you don't either. This note is a very condensed version of everything that happened that was bad. Take this info and multiply by 4 and you'll understand. I hate to see what our gas and electric bills will look like trying to heat our home using the fireplace and space heaters for a MONTH.
