Wow! Great Service. These guys are great. Fast, friendly, and a good value at $19.99. I read some of these other reviews and have to wonder if they are just people that blame a business for their own broken down cars. I had a great experience. Will recommend to all my friends. more

This particular location has been ANYTHING but professional!\r \r They put in the wrong oil filter in my car as a result it leaked all over and almost ruined my engine because most of the oil leaked out\r \r \r \r The same day same time a family a member was also getting her oil changed , they came in trying to sell her the fact that it needed numerous things done that it in fact did not, however she fell for the old look at the colors this means you need an Anti freeze flush, and new Cap ETC. \r \r What they neglected to mention was her radiator was cracked but they did the flush anyway charged her nearly $100 for it. When we took it back because Anti freeze was spraying ALL OVER after they had ""serviced her car"" they said oh yes your radiator is cracked. We can fix that for $300 you wont find any better price or work then that.( we did find better with a very reputable facility for $180). The REAL mechanic we took it to said CLEARLY her car had a small crack for sometime however once the incompetent so called mechanic at CLASSIC LUBE EXPRESS\r \r put a new cap on her radiator it made more pressure caused the ENTIRE radiator to crack and fall apart! Clearly making the condition worse then it already was. Could have caused the engine to blow and or crack a head gasket\r \r \r \r I feel as though the so called mecanice at CLASSIC LUBE EXPRESS seen to females coming and thought we are just ignorant women they could take advantage of! Its ludicrous what they did wont even admit to it. Then try to charge an astronomical amount to fix something when they NEVER should have changed her cap or did a radiator flush until it was properly fixed THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST !!!!!!!!! more

Their service is always fantastic. They have never tried to sell me something that I know I didn't need. In fact, I came in once and asked them to change my air filter and they told me it was still in good condition. What a breath of fresh air! I won't take my care anywhere else. more

Went here and they had a long line ahead of me. The guy that took my information down while I was waiting was the biggest jerk I have met. He got really rude with me when I asked what the expected wait time was. He put the flyer under my windshield wiper and then stalked off. After they took a customer into the bay who drove up AFTER ME I decided to go elsewhere for my oil change. When I drove away the flyer came off my window and landed in the parking lot. I was immediately called by the red haired worker who then left a NASTY voicemail telling me I was a piece of SH*T and to never return to the store again. I contacted the owners who told me they didnt care. I have boycotted this company ever since and also the Chevron on walker they are next to. I do about 6 oil changes per year on my car and 4 on my wifes. That is over $200 a year they will never get from my family again. And the Chevron next to them lost abotu $6,000 a year in fill up revenue from me as well. To top it off the previous oil change I did with them 2 months prior they stripped the oil pan bolt and screwed up the threading on my oil pan so I had to have it redrilled. DO NOT SHOP HERE OR ANY OF THEIR OTHER LOCATIONS THEY ARE RUDE AND DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. more

Oil change places are NOT all the same. Classic Lube Express goes above and beyond any customer service that I have ever seen. They changed my oil and checked all my fluids, i expected that. But, they also cleaned the inside of my car and provided a FREE air freshener. They even got my door for me when I left, that was a nice touch. Best of all, they showed me in detail the things about my car that I honestly did not know about. They did not pressure me at all and the gentleman was very friendly and nice to talk to. I recommend this shop to everyone. more

These guys SUCK. They put in their computer that I am a ""cheap ass"" becasue I'm not suckered in to their corrupt up-selling. Argued that my 4.7 Jeep only takes 5qts, but it takes 6... WTF! more

I used to bring my Accords in here for years. I loved Classic Lube Express. They were nice, efficient, and when they recommended service, they were always polite and not pushy. Unfortunately, whether it be the economy or otherwise, things have changed here. Two visits ago, I noticed a decrease in the level of courtesy the employees extended here. I also noticed an increase in how pushy they were when it came to upselling services, some of them clearly not needed (to a person who knows a moderate amount about cars). During my last visit, I was pretty much disgusted by how the employees treated me. While the hood was up, the expected worker with the list of upsells came into the waiting room to talk to me. After politely declining the engine flush (and other services), I was treated to a stifled laugh and a shake of the head - as if he was saying ""What an idiot."" When I went to get in the vehicle, they had moved the seat all the way up to the steering wheel, and cranked every dial, A/C lever, and radio control to MAX... as if to say ""screw you."" Im sure they got a kick out of it, but they also lost a long time customer. I made it a point to drive here from North Portland whenever I needed an oil change, but that last visit - complete with their crappy attitude - has changed my mind. Never again. Its actually kind of sad to see what once was a fantastically run business with polite workers turn into what it has now. If they need money so badly, why not just up the oil change price $5 and spare everyone the pushy upsells. I wasnt going to write anything initally, but when I read some of these reviews, coupled with hearing that my buddy went through the same type of negative experience, I thought people should be warned what they may be getting into. I've taken my car here several times for a simple oil change. They have always been super nice. They have not tried sell me on other services things like Jiffy Lube does. I trust their service and their opinion. I know my car and I know what is required to keep it in good condition. I will continue to use them for my oil changes and anything else my car may require. more

My wife goes there for an oil change, and these jokers put the wrong filter on the car. I have the old filter, and the part number is clearly not the right one for this car. I went back in person to report it and they brushed me off. I called again the following weekend and they brushed me off again. Find a different shop, this one is not worth the savings. Every time I go into go into this place they try to sell me an engine flush. I have tried to be loyal to this place and I know they make money off of me since I bring in my own oil and filter yet still get charged the same price, but this is just ridiculous. They get so mad when you don't do this ""engine flush"" that they put notes on my bill saying ""if you have a mechanic have him do your oil changes."" Really! I Think I will then. Classic Lube Express is far and away the best service facility I have ever been to. They offer a clean and professional appearance in all aspects. The crew is fast and friendly. They have always treated myself, my wife and our son right. They are honest when it comes to the needs of our vehicles and truly care about the work that they do. I have never felt the pressure from them that you find at similar ""oil change"" chains in the area. If you are looking for a place you can trust, give Classic Lube Express a try. I had done a few oil change at this place last year without any issues. I accept the fact they always try to sell you extra things and service to increase $19.99 advertised oil change price. But today was a different story. I went in for another routine oil change on the same car when the attendent there started asking me some personal info besides the year, make and mileage of the car. more

I have used CLE since they opened on many different cars I have owned. They have always five me good service and don't pressure sell me because I told their Manager NOT to do this to me. I even let them change the oil on my Corvette and they have no issue with me watching. One guy did error on my 04 MINI Cooper. The MCs have an odd oil filter housing and somehow the tech nicked the gasket........I lost all the oil in 24 hours but caught the problem before it was driven. Just a messs in my garage.........but CLE reimbursed me for the issue. I still use them and will continue to until I have reason not to. 9/09: I have noted more pressure to buy additional services and a less friendly attitude the last few times I have used CLE.
