Whenever I go to City Auto Repair, I just get the feeling that they are genuinely concerned about my vehicle and keeping it running well. They look at everything, on top of the things we've discussed. They'll make suggestions about what needs to be fixed versus what can wait. I have gone to City Auto Repair for years! We have a small fleet of cars they service for us. At least once a month we have at least one car in there so we're in and out of there all the time. Their customer service is outstanding! They really take care to look at things closely and seem to try to find ways not to spend our money, which is always great! We love them here! We read many wonderful reviews - it was our daughter at UF and we are 5 hours away. We brought Mitch an estimated work order from dealer of $900 worth of repairs and his expert staff said it was tire wear and not needing bearings... our end bill was $73.00 including a complete checkup. We have been going to City Auto Repair for many years, about fifteen to twenty years now. That's where we take all of our vehicles! It's easy to lose track of time! Since we are long-standing customers, we know they are trustworthy, dependable and professional. They keep track of everything on the computer, so it's easy for them to note what needs to be done and when and they'll keep you posted on what's coming up, which is great! Scheduling service is easy to do and it's nice to be able to set up a day ahead of time. Recently, I was getting ready for a trip to the mountains, and I had taken my car in for maintenance. They called me before they started doing the work. They worked so hard, they were able to get the job done that same day, when I had been thinking it might take two days. I thought that was fabulous! Everything that needed to be done was done. I really like the special touches they've been adding to the shop and to their service. Like around the 4th of July, when they decorated the waiting room really nicely, and how they've been checking in with customers to make sure we're satisfied. That all adds up and means a lot! more

I take my car in and they fix it for me. They've never padded a bill, or made up things that needed fixing. They've even told me when I don't need things fixed, and that my car is just older. They ease my mind about it's aches and groans. I've been ripped off before at other places, and it makes me feel good that I have a shop like this to take care of me now. They are ethical and professional. They never strong-arm me into doing anything I don't want or need to have done. I've sent so many people over there, and they treat all of my friends very nicely. They are friendly, warm and nice. They chat with you and make you feel comfortable when you have to wait. They even try to soften the blow when they have to deliver bad news to you. My husband and I have been using City Auto Repair for years now. We first heard about them through another mechanic, who recommend them because he couldn't fix the problem. That really stands out to me, and indicates that they are preferred within the industry. We have had instances with City Auto where we think there is something major wrong with a vehicle, and they find something minor. In these cases they could have sold us very expensive parts and labor, but didn't. This high level of honor and integrity really stands out, and keeps us going back. The mechanics at City Auto are always warm and welcoming. It's nice to have found an honest mechanic--one that is personable, and that doesn't talk over your head. We highly recommend them. I've never found a more trustworthy repair shop to keep my cars running well, operating in a safe manner, and maintaining their value without squandering money. Once I brought my van in to their shop expecting to pay for a costly tune-up. They diagnosed the problem as a bad spark plug wire thereby saving me a bundle of money. I almost always avoid going to the Honda dealer since why should I pay full-pop retail when I can get it done right for a lower price and help support a small Gainesville based business instead of a foreign corporation. They even shuttle me back and forth to and from work. They warranty their work and parts for a period of one year and routinely double check their records to see if the customer could benefit. They also happen to be genuinely nice people to deal with. more

My husband has been to City Auto Repair for years, then when I married him 7 years ago, I started going there too. I just trust them. They won't do something that doesn't need to be done. I have been going to City Auto for 15-20 years. They are honest, if something does not need to be fixed they let you know if it does then they will tell the cost and fix it right! They stand behind their repairs. Once they missed fixing something on my sons truck. It broke down shortly after that and the owner called me an said it was their fault it should have been caught during the original repair (He fixed it without charge) zThis is one exampl of why i continue to go there and why I reccommend them to friends and family! more

I have been using City Auto Repair for at least 10 years now. I use them for my personal vehicles as well as my business vehicles. They perform regular maintenance and they inform when service and repairs are due that I was not aware of. I also like that they will pick my vehicle up. If I have a particular issue, they will diagnose it, consult with me, and give me an accurate estimate. And, the quality of their work has been excellent. So, when get your car repaired at City Auto you do not pay for anything more than what you need. They do not oversell. You could send your sister or wife there and trust their mechanics to tell them them honestly what they need. They charge a fair price for their work, and the work is excellent. more
