So the majority of his staff is fantastic. However Dr. Cigna himself is not a very professional. For one he disfigured my mouth so much so that when I was originally told I didnt need maxillofacial surgery so I opted out of an incredible expensive surgery, however he messed my teeth up so much I had to get this surgery. I had 2 second opinions on this as well as the opinions of the surgeons I used for my jaw who believed he messed up. Furthermore I was 15/16 when I first went to him, I had waited up to 3 hrs for him on one occasion. A lot of the woman who work for him do not like him. He yelled at a lot of the assistants in front of us on a regular basis. Another Dr. left the practice bc he didnt get along with Cigna. I was forced to get 3 extra mouth surgeries (to prove my upper left canine was not connected to the bone so therefore it could be pulled down via chain) bc he didnt believe the Dr. who said it was still mobile. He made my father, who is an incredible busy business man wait 45 mins for him, my appt was at 515, I was called into the room at 6p which Im pretty sure they close at that time. When my father asked to speak to him bc my mouth looked somewhat like a roller coaster on the top jaw, he wanted to know my progress, my father and I literally overheard him telling one of the assistants "why is her father here? she never comes with him" "I dont want to talk to him, tell them I was in a rush and left" How is that professional Dr. Cigna? We heard you. This all happened a couple years ago. But I think people should know there are better orthos out there.
