I guess the old restaurant adage that “the customer is always right” doesn’t hold at Charlie Hong Kong’s. When I took the first few bites of my last order there, the food tasted burnt. The vegetables were blackened and small pieces of black were infused through the entire meal. Some people may like blackened gado gado, but not me, so I took it back to the counter. I was told that it wasn’t burned, and that they could give me my money back. When I asked for a new plate of food instead, I was told they didn’t like my attitude and so all I could get was my money back. So for dissatisfied customers at Charlie Hong Kong’s you have one of two choices – eat something you find inedible, or go somewhere else. I choose to spend my money elsewhere.
