Chadwell Animal Hospital

Had a easy question and I called them, they couldn't even answer my question without seeing my pet, they were very unhelpful, my pet store was much more helpful. It wasn't an emergency, just a general question. more

vetnarian doc GOLD seen my bird and gave him pain meds, 2 days before doctor gold seen him he got hit by fan but he was ok I thought I would take him to the vet and have him checked doctor gold gave him pain medicine the bird was wide awake responses playing eating on the way to the vet, after doctor gold gave him the pain medicine he couldn't even open his eyes he nodded out the next morning my bird was dead, vetnarian gold at chadwell overdosed and killed my bird,,,my bird was family to us, please do not go to doctor gold at Chadwell vetnarian hospital, I'm looking for a lawyer to pursue this I have videos of my bird before the vet in after vet he has pending lawsuit cases for things like this I looked him up, I put this on everything this is true I just don't want people to go through what I am, I have a 10 year old daughter that is very upset over this,as I am now he's gone we are crushed more

My bird Polly was taking there yesterday and Dr .Gold gave her to much pain medicine that killed her . Dont take your pets there they will die under there care!!!!!!! more

I would never take any pet here... My pet died in his care... He needs to take a class about bedside manners. He told me that I ask too many questions...?? Really? Wouldn't you if you were concerned? Always rushed me out the door.What Doctor writes a script for insulin , then gives it to you and says "see you in a week". Does not even show me a needle or even how to use it. I was supposed to give him 1 unit 2xdaily... What was a unit?? Had to go the pharmacy and ask them how to do this, they asked me why didn't he show you? Good question. Left my pet there and got a phone call 1hour later and he says I'm sorry we lost Sparky. I asks what happened? he says I don't know I think it was cardiac related. I feel he made the wrong call the first night we took him there. He said he sugar was too high..yes it was. But that was all he focused on. I felt he had a fever just by touching him. Sent us home, I call back 2days later and they said give it a few days. Next day he was not better,he was more

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Dr. Gold for many years now. I first met him at Falls Rd and have since followed him to his current facility in Abingdon, MD. Even at 35 miles one way, he is well worth the trip. I don't think I could ever find someone more fair than he is in every sense of the word. The staff at Chadwell are permanent fixtures and most of the time know who you are when you call, and certainly know your pets when you walk in. If you are looking for a real animal lovers to go along with the expertise of veterinary care then Chadwell is a fine place to find them. Dr. Gold and his wife Dr. Schaupp certainly fit right in. It is however with great sorrow and a heavy heart filled with sympathy to both of them for the recent loss of their companion "George". As I just found out of his passing, it brings them all closer along with my love and devotion to animals. more

Chadwell Animal Hospital is a truly FANTASTIC place to bring your pets! My husband and I took our Golden Retriever to a different hospital in the area, and they charged us for every bit of information that they gave us without asking us first! Chadwell only charges you for things that you know about and their staff is wonderful. Their front desk staff/ technicians know our dog and are so friendly to her (and we've only been there twice). I really feel like the entire staff cares about our animals as they do their own. I asked Doctor Malick several questions about our dog and she listened to my questions carefully and was happy to respond. At other places, I've felt like the doctor is annoyed by my wasting their time with questions. Doctor Malick was so friendly to my puppy and so helpful when answering my questions. I didn't feel rushed or like I was being a bother to her at all. When I was paying our bill in the waiting room, a different doctor came out and was sitting on the floor petting my dog. I was amazed that this doctor, who was probably quite busy took the time to sit on the floor and greet my dog. Many hospitals have a good doctor, or a good front desk staff, but this hospital has it all. The entire staff is the best I've ever seen. I HIGHLY recommend Chadwell Animal Hospital! more

EXCELLENT!! Very friendly staff, Dr. Gold is the best, he takes his time and explains things in laymans terms. They always call the next day to make sure all is going well after an operation or extensive proceedure. We drive 2 1/2 hours to see this man!! more

I just love Dr Gold and his staff they are very thorough and treat the animals with respect just like they were lil humans , They are theee best Veterinary hospital well trained and well educated especially when it comes to ferrets which a lot of vets have not studied or know how to give injections the other vets are only trained to deal with shots and that is about all they know , But Dr Golds Ofc is the finest and most educated hospital I have been to on ferrets!!! more

It's the most unbelievable thing that the front desk and Dr. Deans (sp?) was able to put 2+2 together and come up with my lost toy poodle! He'd been gone for 2 weeks with absolutely no responses to any attempts I made to find him... Aegis ads, hiring a dog hunter, getting the services of findtoto.com, putting out 200+ flyers... you name it!\r \r I put a colored flyer in their office and personally described my lost pet and my attempts were rewarded by this wonderful staff of pet lovers along with the assistance of Best Friends Fur Ever on Rt. 152 and Rt. 7 who understood how devastated I was.\r \r Needless to say, I have transferred the medical records of my pets (a very old little yorkie, my wonderfully welcomed back miracle 'baby' toy poodle and an 11 week old yorkie poo) to this wonderful establishment... people who really care!\r \r I cannot thank these wonderful people enough but I certainly feel confident in their abilities - enough to have them take care of my 'kids' :-) more

Dr Gold is very knowledgeble, kind and caring - especially when it comes to rabbits. I have always felt very comfortable when bringing my rabbits to Dr. Gold. The office staff is very, very friendly and very customer service oriented. Very caring people, very clean facility. If you have a question, they are quick to get an answer or have Dr. Gold return your call. I know people who drive quite a distance to Chadwell Animal Hospital and it's worth it. more

The staff does an excellent job of patiently listening and cheerfully answering questions effectively. I had a wonderful experience there. They offer some services ala carte, meaning that if the vet tech can do it, there is no additional charge for an office visit. I recently took my dog for her glands to be expressed and nails clipped and was in and out w/in 10 minutes and spent a total of $23. I cannot express enough how great everyone is. I highly recommend this animal hospital. more

I would like to just Thank Dr. Haskin for everything she did. We recently moved to Harford County and our normal vet was to far to travel due to our Sadie's problem. I was scared to take her to a vet that we have never been to before, but the made use feel so at home. She explained everything to us and even gave advice. This hospital is full of people who care about animals and there family's. I will continue to use them for our other dog. If you need a great vet Chadwell is the place to be!!!! Thanks again everyone at Chadwell with all your help and sympathy, I really appreciate. And also thanks for the paw print and card that was very thoughtfull of you guys! more

friendly vetrinary environment. located in a strip mall off 924 this vet's office always has an appointment for a sick family pet. the staff is friendly and makes the animals feel at ease. there is ample parking too. good value! more

Do you have a dog or cat? This is a great place for you. The doctors are wonderful and the front end staff is friendly (always a plus). Are you looking for a pet doctor of an exotic this is even a better place to be. I have taken both a bird and a guinea pig in. I have seen many others -- rabbits, ferretts, lizards. Their prices are reasonable and I have not a problem in the two years I have been using their services. more

I recently took my hamster in for emergency care. Turned out she had burned her back feet. They were compassionate, caring, and quick with quality care. I was more than pleased with the care from beginning to end, and would return if need be. The building was beautiful!! The floors were spotless, the walls freshly painted, the artwork that adorned all the rooms was entertaining and pleasing. more
