Centre Oaks Apartments

Centre Oaks Apartment ""HOMES"" (I stress HOME) is now my HOME. Call me bias if you must I stand by my most auspicious home with dignity and respect. The staff here is amazing. They are willing to help you with any issues that may arise. The best part of these homes is that the staff has various parties, gatherings, and want to get to know their tennants. They are not just sitting at the office waiting for the rent checks. They want to get to know each one of us not as a tenant but as a part of a neighborhood, allowing each of us to get to know our neighbors is benificial is so many ways. \r \r The othe convience of living at Centre Oaks Apartment Home is the convience of being right next to the DFW airport, a TRE transit stop, and the multiply buisness' surrounding the area. Believe it these buisness are actueally hiring which is rare do to the recession. \r \r In restrospect if you are looking for a centrally located area to live that wants to actually know their tenants, then please come and check out this Centre Oaks Apartment Homes. I have lived here for two years never have I been disappointed. Pros: The Friendly Staff, The Great Amenities, The Spacious Apt. Cons: None more

We had stayed in Center Oaks for about 9 months. We had signed a lease for 6 months. As per the terms we had to give them 1 month notice. The lease expired and then we were on month to month. No one from the staff informed us that we had to sign a new lease. Net net when we vacanted they took 2 months rent as per the lease breakage (owing to the first lease agreement) even though we were at month to month ! \r When we said , we shall sign a new lease now(4th day of the month) so that we pay for 1 month breakage,the staff said the lease sign happens only on 1st day of the month ! I guess they dont entertain renters who come mid month then. Anyways there was so such clause as far as we knew but since we were leaving the country could not do much and paid them $900 extra .\r I shall never live in the apartment complex ! It was the worst experience I had during my tenure at US. Apartments at SFO ,Pleasanton ,Irving were far far accomodating.\r Please be careful since the staff are not communicative . I have lived in these apartments for 1.5 years and I agree with all of the negatives. Be prepared to bring your wallet and if some showers at 4am be prepared to be awake. My job sends me out of town alot and this complex does not take debit/credit cards which to me is unheard of. I was sent out of town on business on month when my rent was due I called them and asked them to please take my debit card for the rent so I wouldn't be charged late fees she told me just mail us the rent if it is postmarked by the 4th then we won't charge you a late fee. I mailed the rent and about a week later when my check still hadnt cleared the bank they charged me about $150 in late fees I couldnt believe it and now I have new neighbors next door and one of them gets up and showers about 4am every morning. I am sure to go to work. I have tried everything from closing my bathroom door to tacking a quilt on the wall to calm the noise to no avail. I would love to leave but my lease wont be up for 5 more months. Oh well. Pros: landscaping and friendly staff Cons: everything else more

This place smells like a dump. The rent goes up every time you renew even if the new renters pay less. The managment charges unbeleivable fees for late payments...bring your wallet.The appatments are not up to date and need repair.i would not recommend this appartment to anyone unless you are use to living in a mexico. more

I have lived at Centre Oaks for over 4 years & am very happy here. The staff is friendly, the maintenance is very thorough, and the grounds & landscaping is excellent. They are older apts. but kept in excellent shape. I have lived in 3 different apts. in the complex , I was happy with all of them & only moved because of increased(and decreased) pay. My air conditioner went out on me one hot Saturday night about 11pm, left a message on the complex's voice mail, the maintenence man showed up 20 mins. later. The unit was shot & the next day was Sunday & he could't get another till Monday morning. He got a unit out of an empty apt, switched them out, & had my air back on an hour after he got there. The previous poster had problems with a downstairs apt because the floor of the apt upstairs squeeked. Unfortunatley this is a problem any downstairs apt over 3 years old is going to have but I'm in a downstairs now but the guy upstair is hardly there except to sleep so I hardly ever here his footsteps. I used to live in another old comlex downstairs no well maintained & a heavy set woman lived above me who was an insomniac & paced back & forth every night & keep me awake. I feel very safe here & it's pretty quiet too. more

I lived at these apartments for only one lease term and even moved out before my lease was over to move into a new apt.--of course, my rent was paid in full. I didn't care if I lost money just to get out of this place. The walls are very, very paper thin, the floors creak really bad and are not level, and to top it all off, you don't have the friendliest neighbors. The walls are so thin that you can hear people talking through them and if someone takes a shower or even worse takes a bath (just running the faucet portion), the water literally screams into your apt. and you can't even hear to talk on the phone. I would highly not recommend living here. Cons: Thin, thin walls, creaky floors, unfriendly neighbors more
