timely manner lacking 10/29/2008

I gave them a check in early August to do the carving on my mothers mausoleum and it still hasn't been done. At the time I was told it would take no more that 30 days. I live 200 miles away and drove to Pittsburgh on 10/4 to check it out only to find it wasn't done. I spoke to a gentleman who worked there and he assuered me he'd check on it first thing Monday and get back to me. He never did and waited 2 plus weeks and called. he said he assigned it to the person I first worked with and thought she would have contacted me. I told him she had not. He grabbed the file and said it may be done and he'd run outside and check. he called back a half hour later and asked if my mother was in the cript. I said no, but what does that have to do with it. he said nothing. I said she passed away in April and I have her ashes, but don't want to put them in until the carving is done. that conversation was on 10/22 - one week ago and I've still not heard a thing. he said they like to do outdoor work when they can and save the stuff they can do inside for when the weather is bad. I said they didn't waste any time to cash my check and I was never informed of any of this when I signed the contract. I told him I was not at all happy and there it feels bad when there isn't a thing you can do about it. When you lose someone you have to prepare yourself for that moment you see their name carved on a grave. Now I have to get preprared all over again. i'll be back in Pittsburgh for All Souls day and wonder if the marking will be done by then! I guess I shouldn't hold my breath. They have lots of excuses at Calvary. Pros: Catholic Cemetary Cons: timely efforts of staff more

Stand there to make sure the grave gets covered 6/29/2007

My whole family is buried there so when my husband was dying, I decided to forgo our plots at another cemetery. But here it is, almost nine months later,(I could have given birth during this time) and there is still no top soil on his grave !\r The man on the phone is great to talk to but he does not seem to follow through with his promises. \r I am still waiting to receive the contract in the mail to sign so I may have the head stone engraved !\r They were really great about cashing my checks and opening the grave to have David buried; (maybe because he died of a really rare disease)..............\r Come on Calvary, live up to your true reputation of greatness. I know you have it in you. After all, you have other family members resting in peace there, why not my Husband ? \r \r \r Roseann Bray more
