Great Storage Place 1/23/2013

The storage units are great and super for storing a trailer! Cheaper than anyone else! I have used the salvage area once and they are not much help. However, if you know what you want and are a mechanic you might find something you're looking for. Otherwise if your not very knowledgeable with auto parts and working on your own vehicle, don't come here looking for help. Know your stuff first. more

Convenient, Inexpensive 9/18/2012

Getting to feed a carrot or apple to Jasper the Jackass is also great fun for the kids. Carter, his dad, brother, and mom are on-premise along with Jasper. They are all the salt of the earth. They remind me of people in my home town. I also like the drive-up access. I'm sort of puzzled who put the storage facility under Automotive. Carter has a wrecking yard, but this is not it. If he has no vacancies, ask about the other facility. It may not be as close in, but you can go fishing or pick up something at the package store, like a "good old boy" ( or gal). more

Avoid At All Costs. 6/3/2011

I'll put it to you this way. If you have some time to burn and have especially thick skin drive up to this establishment and experience their "customer service" first hand. More specifically, dare to ask any of the staff particularly the owner/manager a question of any kind related to the services they provide. You will leave angry but will have a fantastically entertaining horror story to tell your friends. They are the only salvage yard in the Plano/Allen area, a fact they have not forgotten! more

Was not impressed 12/2/2005

My son was in an accident and we had to find someone to take his truck that was totaled. I wasn't able to find many options at superpages but did find Carter's Wrecker & Salvage. Never having had to deal with this kind of thing before I wasn't sure exactly what I needed. Unfortunately speaking to the people at Carter's didn't help much, the men I spoke with on the phone and the men my son spoke with at the yard were rude and made me feel like I was wasting their time. They did do what I needed done and didn't even charge us to take the truck and my son was able to go back and pick up his tires which were brand new but I was not too impressed with their customer service. more
