12-9-08 My car died on Madison Ave, Albany. I coasted into a bus stop. It was 9AM and 12 degrees out. I called Dot's garage: they said 30 min. 1 hour later no show and no call back to my cell. I called them and they said their truck had a flat and can't get there for 2 hours. Said I should call someone else. I was freezing by now as car didn't run so no heat. I think it was called Kruger towing: They said we will be there shortly. 1 hour later no show, no call. I called and they said we can't get there! 3rd tow company was Capitaland in Albany. They said 20 mins. 1 hour later no show or no call. just as I was calling to ask where the hell are you? a tow truck pulled up and said they were called by Capitaland to take the job. 3 tow companies later, 3 hours later, 12 degrees later Capital District Towing showed up to save the day. Don't ever call those other 3 jerks. Capital District Towing gets my future business and referrals. Driver was a gentleman, very courteous and after he dropped my car off at my repair shop which was 10 miles away I was able to get a ride back to town with him and he even dropped me back off a few blocks from my house. I'm no relation to anyone with this tow company, but with the weather at 12 degrees that morning those other 3 clowns cared less about my safety. Not even the courtesy of call back after an hour wait for each one at 12 degrees and no show. ALL THREE OF THEM are useless. Capital District Towing is the "only" tow company to use after my experience.
