Cadillac Ranch Restaurant

I've been going to the Ranch for a little over a year now. I love it. I didn't even like country music before I found this place. I've picked up on most of the dances. They are pretty easy to learn. It's a great place to go if you are looking to have a good time. I was up in new britain meeting a few of my roommates that I don't get to see often and we decided to go to the cadillac ranch. I had no idea what to expect, but when I entered it was amazing. The place is huge, and the dance floor is gigantic. I am not sure how one wouldn't have fun here. Everyone was o friendly. I was trying to pick up the steps from sideline, and some girl told me I needed to just go out there and she would walk me through it. After about 10 mins I was out there almost every song. I promise you that if you go there and just let loose you will write a similar review and end up going back every weekend. I really plan on going back there on a saturday night in the future. I was reading the two stupid reviews that were bashing Caddy Ranch. I have been going there for over a year now, and the entire staff/crowd are some of the nicest people that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I aggree that sometimes the music can be a little overplayed however it is usually the beginner music and hey we all had to start from the beginning at one point or another. Friday and Saturday nights are usually packed, and occasionally you have a drunk or two but what bar doesn't. However the great people and music outway all that. I also know for a fact that the DJ's take requests and there is a request board. That board usually gets filled up within the first 15 minutes of the night so yes you can be assed out if you want a song played two hours into the night. My advice get there when they open. Overall you will find a crowd of people from 21-91 just having a great time. Dancing, Eating, Drinking, or just sitting back and listening to some great country dance music. To the two people that did not have fun you go ahead to Springfield have a great time because we do not need people like you stinking up our bar!!!! I love going to this place! Sure, like any place you get the occasional drunk person on the dance floor that doesn't know the steps, but you deal! What's wrong with trying to help them learn the steps? As for the lessons, I think the instructors are very thorough and try to make sure everyone gets the steps before moving on. The music's great, the atmosphere is pleasant and I've made a bunch of new friends there. I'm not sure if the sign is still there but years ago, there was a sign that said, ""There are no strangers here, just friends we haven't met yet!"" I like that motto! This is a great spot to go to for a fun night . It has great dancing and super music . With five different teachers there is something for everyone . The crowd is friendly and very polite . Almost no drunks & if they do have one he is usually removed fast . try it you will like it . It is the best western dancing we have ever gone too. It does also have a motorcycle crowd but they seem very quiet & friendly . So come on down... Pros: parking is super, music never stops, nice to have supper & dance too. Cons: more places should be like this one .. more

Kinda funny that someone who has been going to this place for a year considers themselves an expert, then calls my review stupid. Just proof that the ranch allows children in...... The DJs are great, they keep playing tons of stuff I can dance to. The dance instructors are great making sure we pick up all the steps. The food is good, beer prices are average, the place in general has a fantastic country feel. Big hardwood dance floor! Always packed on weekends!
