Don't waste your time or money 8/11/2005

If you like to walk around for hours to get to the only 3 cool rides and wait in hour long rides, you will love this park. Cause the rides are the only real reason people go to amusement parks, right? This is too expensive, too many people and they might as well call it a big waste of time. Again, if you like to spend a lot of money and spend hours walking around to ride 3 rides, you are in for the time of your life. I forgot to mention you are doing this in 90 degree weather most of the time. more

BUSCH BEATS ALL OTHER FL PARKS! 7/12/2005

Busch Gardens combines the fun and excited of some of the worlds best roller coasters with some of the most exotic animals. Part zoo part amusement park this place has it all. If youre tired of the same old theme park adventure (Disney and Universal) why have you not been to Busch Gardens?!?! This is not a small town amusement park folks. This is a five star family entertainment fun filled place to spend a few days. Its cooler than Orlando with the Gulf breeze and youre so much closer to the ocean for a days trip there! Since Ive moved to Atlanta, this is the one park that I miss the most. Im planning a trip sometime next year. Still doubtful Ill get on that new roller coaster though. 90 degrees straight down!!! I dont think so. :) more

Best thrill park in FL 7/7/2005

Forget boring Disney! If you are after thrill rides, Busch Gardens is the place 2 go 2. I personally dont care about seeing funny people in costumes or visiting fake countries and am not into movies either. This is my main reason for loving Busch Gardens. It is simply the best attraction you can go to in Florida if you actually wanna go on rides. They have a huge selection of coasters, from smaller ones to the big shiekra which no 1 should miss. They also have cool water rides and the safari. Just visit it and you will see what i'm talking about- you wont regret it! more

Busch Gardens- LOVE IT!! 6/20/2005

My kids and I LOVED Busch Gardens. My son 17 year old looking for girls found plenty. My daughter, 14 had been to Disneyland too many times to count and KNOWS her rides. we all agreed this was awesome! We all could find something we loved in the rides, food , animals, exhibits! We never had to separate because each thing held enough interest for those who didn't necessarily LOVE it. from the 4d theater & Clydesdales to Dale Jrs car! We went on each ride three times in a row- Montu was awesome and if you get hot, walk across the 'bridge'. Perfect for the family, prices were awesome, parking and shuttle were easy, food was good and there were no lines! I DO suggest go in July- much quieter Oregon folks loved it then! That was why we go to Florida- the weather, the humidity and the thunderstorms! Pros: Rides, Prices, Lines Cons: none, none , none more

great combo of zoo and coasters!! 5/8/2005

This is a wonderful park with amazing gardens, famtastic animal attractions, and great rides! The food is good with lots of choices. The Serengeti Safari is amazing with the opportunity to get really up close and personal with giraffes. Montu is fabulous with its theming and great drops. Gwazi is an excellent fly-by wooden coaster. Avoid going in the heat of summer when the Florida sun can do real damage and the lines are long. If short on time, try the VIP tours- its pricey, but you get immediate access to the rides. Pros: Coasters, Animals , Food Cons: Can have long lines, pricey admission, humid FL weather more

Forget Disneyworld 5/7/2005

I've been to Busch Gardens 3 times and only once was it so busy that I had to wait a long time in line to get on rides. There are awesome coasters and tons of stuff to do. The food is a bit pricey but what theme park doesn't have high prices. I live in Idaho and have been to Florida 3 times and visited Busch Gardens everytime while only stopping at EPCOT in Disneyworld once. Busch Gardens is probably cheaper and you'll be able to get on more rides. This place is definitely for those who don't care about seeing a guy dressed as a mouse. Pros: Variety, Food, Rides Cons: Occasional long lines, The florida heat more

Great Coasters, Great Food; What Else Matters? 4/29/2005

We have been to Busch Gardens several times, and have always found something for everyone. If you are not into coasters, there are many other things to do, such as the tram over the African animals or other safari-themed attractions. The Johannesburg Smokehouse and the German Biergarten are excellent sources of chow. In reference to the review by "ilikegirlsbutts," I vigorously disagree. The writer obviously went to the park with something besides food, rides, and family fun on his mind. Where else would one want to be when it is over 90 degrees, besides the Congo River rapids or the "soaking bridge" (if you have been there, you know where I mean). In Tampa Bay, it is a must-do. Pros: Rides, Food, Bands, Animals Cons: Lines more

  • Overview
What began as a brewery surrounded by colorful birds and gardens is now as one of the area's biggest attractions. It's not for the timid: roller coasters twist, turn and plunge, while water rides provide a welcome splash.

    The Experience
Three coasters serve as the park's anchors, including an old wooden one and an inverted coaster. Stomach not up to it? Enjoy the gorillas and the Edge of Africa safari experience. Some 2,700 animals roam the habitats until the heat takes its toll, making them sedentary in the afternoon. The Land of the Dragons playground for youngsters may inspire the young-at-heart to wish they could squeeze through the kid-sized tubes and slides. Less adventurous types can browse through the African-themed shops, cool off during a show, enjoy outdoor cafes or savor a hot meal in the family-style Crown Colony Restaurant. No need to count calories--you'll easily walk them off.
