the food is always outstanding at the little sister to Le Bec Fin. Expensive, though not for the quality...

In ShortScotch-swilling business types crowd this handsome art-deco brasserie and bar, where columns boast larger-than-life reproductions of Marcel Duchamp's "Nude Descending a Staircase," and famed owner Georges Perrier hangs out between seatings at his nearby Le Bec-Fin. Here, French cuisine takes on Asian, Italian, even Southern twists. Tempura shrimp lollipops are served with pineapple salad. Lemony escargots come with spinach while duck crepes are drizzled with maple syrup. Don't miss the chocolate tart or cappuccino cake.
