Boyd Obstetrics & Gynocology

I have been a patient of Boyd OBGYN for 10 years now. Dana has delivered 2 daughters for me and she is great! Dr Boyd removed my ovary last December, and that went ok. I am now pregnant with my 3rd child and not too impressed with the quality of the care. I have called a few times to speak with a nurse and do not receive a call back for many hours and or days.For one of those calls I was told to take Benedryl for my allergies, but it makes me very sleepy, so the nurse told me to get Non Drowsy Benedryl, which a pharmicist told me does not exist.Then when you call back to tell them that, you have to wait another 4hours to talk to someone. It's very frustrating for me because I have gone there for so long and I don't want to go anywhere else but I don't feel very well taken care of. Maybe they are short staffed, or maybe they have too many patients.Something has changed in the last few years and I will probably be looking for a new dr. more

Dr. Boyd is kind, caring, and committed to his patients, and his staff is very friendly too. My only problem is that you have to wait a long time to be seen, but in my experience, that happens in every docs office. I still highly recommend him. more

Dr. Boyd completed a D & C on me at 11 weeks because the fetus had passed away. He whisked me in and out of the procedure without any directions for after care. 5 days later I had a miscarriage. Imagine my surprise after I thought that it was taken care of. My new doctor said he should never have left the baby inside of me. I had infection and was in awful pain. I've heard that Dr. Boyd has had several issues with quality. I went to his office for follow up and they sent the new office assistant in. She asked me "What brings you in today"..... I finally left after 2 hours of waiting. My new Dr. got me in that day, put me on several antibiotics and said "I can't believe he left you like this". more

I have been a patient of Dr. Boyd's now for eight years and this doctor and his staff are the reason why I have four wonderful healty kids. I had had two previous miscarriages when I came to him and automatically I was comfortable and trusting with him with my situation. He was there for all of my deliveries and all my problems durring the pregnancies and after weather it's pregnancy related or whatever this man is a wonderful doctor. His staff is excellent and can answer questions and concerns. more

I had a horrible experience at this OB-GYN but who is to say that they haven't changed their policies. I was pregnant and miscarried, calling my doctor every hour for 8 hours. They never returned my call! I had seen the midwife Dana on previous visits. She is excellent and very caring..however if you want personable, helpful service, don't come here! more
