everything was too salty or too sweet. the quail was a mess, the polenta too watery, the mashed potatoes too salty, macaroni and cheese to salty, brussels sprouts too rich, ganac...

This Place Gets It 8/23/2005

There are so many places you can eat in this city for 150 bucks for two that are awesome; Zuni, Delfina, Faralon, Houstons (yeah, Houstons). And there are so many places that two people can eat in this city for 150 bucks that kind of spank it; Chapou, Chez Spencer, Luna Park (if you drink a lot) etc... But regardless of what these reveiwres here say about Blue Plate being "pricey", their portions are HUGE, everything I have had has been awesome, and their take on everything - from presention to ambience is totally unique...and it WORKS!! more
