The name ""Bliss"" might be a little pretentious, but this is a very good restaurant. Our party of 5 sampled many items on the menu, including dessert, and everything was really ...

My wife and I had dinner here after the Flower Show in March. Food was good, very high quality, very small portions. We were seated right next to the door with a very significan...

Excellent experience 2/20/2006

Went on a Friday night and the service and food was excellent. Modern and unstuffy atmosphere. Waittress and waitstaff were very attentive, helpful and friendly but never got in your way. Food is prepared simply but with a tasteful flair. I'd go again. Pros: staff more

A great evening 1/6/2006

Four of us went to Bliss after the theater. We had no problems getting seated and the staff was friendly without being presumptuous. We were a little over dressed. Upscale casual clothing seemed to dominate. Our waiter was always handy but not hovering. We had the scallops, tuna, duck and striped bass and no one had a complaint. Everything was perfectly done and very tasty. The ambience was conducive to quiet conversation and others' conversation didn't intrude on our audible space. (With the exception of a thankfully short cell phone intrusion from another table) The menu is small and a bit pricey but Bliss was the end of a perfect evening. Pros: Ambience, Close to parking Cons: Short hours more

User review by mtcc 4/19/2005

Reminds me of lounge bar/restaurants of New York. Neatly decored. Near the theatres which was nice, however, why do they close so early??? The place would be a lovely spot for after-show cocktails and appys. The food is a little over priced for what it is, pretty basic with fancy names and descrips. Overall recommended. Pros: Decor, Service Cons: Early Hours more

What Happened to this place!!!!!!! 4/15/2005

What happened to this place! We dined here last year for our anniversary, it was wonderful! First of all there was no hostess and when we peeked in an older gentelman came from the bar with a glass of someting in his hand and said ""hi, sit anywhere you like"" Wow! Then our server, a guy we hardly understood, the same for the bus girl, proceeded to tell us the specials. We ordered off the menu because we didn't want to ask him to repeat himself. The shrimp tempura was sooo oily and my husbands mozzarella he really needed a knife to cut it with. The bread was not the same as we had the last time, this was much more heavy, something you might use with jelly, like a scone, that hard. I ordered the chicken which wasn't bad, but my husbands short ribs were inedible. No one even asked why he didn't finish them! We skipped dessert, of course and went to Estia, but we did notice these strange desserts going out in glasses. We felt like we were back in the 70's. What a shame for Bliss. I'm sure the regular clientele isn't coming back either:( This was Friday, May 1st, 2008, like i said, I loved it the last time, Where are Francesco and Anthony???? Pros: near the theatre Cons: food quality has gone down more

Birthday Dinner 5/31/2004

I recently had dinner at Bliss for my Birthday. We had heard really great things about this fairly new restuarant, but the experience in itself sealed the deal. Not only was the service incredible, as well as the ambiance, but the food was spectacular. I can't wait to go back again... more

I've been to this restaurant 2 times and enjoyed delicious food, warm atmosphere and excellent service. I think this place is one of the best recently opened restaurants. And I'll definitely come back! Pros: Food, Location, Everything else more
